Breece Hall | Syndication: The Record
The 49ers have signed tight end George Kittle to a four-year extension.
Read moreWelcome to the 'Buy, Sell, or Hold' series where each week I’ll be focusing on one position to analyze four players and what we should be doing with them. This week we’re back to running backs.
Coming back from a torn ACL, some were worried about what Hall would do in his second year in the NFL after showing a lot of promise as a rookie. He quieted those worries by putting up 17.1 PPR points per game in 2023 and averaged 20 PPR PPG in his last 13 games after a four-game ramp-up that the Jets publicly said he would have. Even more impressive, this was all done without Aaron Rodgers who was lost four snaps into the season. As of now Rodgers is expected to be fully healthy for the 2024 season and the Jets added Braelon Allen who projects to be Hall’s handcuff but doesn’t seem like he’ll take anything away from him. How high can the ceiling be for Hall and should we be buying?
The Move – Hall is rightfully ranked and valued as a top-three dynasty running back everywhere you look. He’s one of the best receiving running backs in the entire league, is an explosive runner, and projects to have a top-notch workload. Trying to acquire Hall is extremely difficult. Everyone who has him on their roster knows what they have and won’t let him go for anything more than full price at a minimum. Also, selling Hall isn’t advisable either. Running backs like Hall are rare these days. Just hold and reap the rewards.
