The Giants have signed wide receiver Zach Pascal.
Read moreDespite the NFL devaluing the running back position in terms of contract value as passing is emphasized, the position is still highly valued in fantasy football. A durable pair of running backs can net you bunches of points especially in the red zone as teams look to punch it in after a long drive.
The talent is far from gone at the position and knowing what players to buy low on and maximize your return on investment will be the difference between championships and losers. Dig in below as running back injury concerns are discussed.
Achane missed a total of six games last year due to a preseason AC joint sprain followed by a knee MCL sprain. The latter injury forced him to injured reserve for four weeks before he returned and tweaked the knee in the first game back.
Despite all this, he still managed to rush for 800 yards and tack on another 197 yards in receiving. He is one of the most dynamic backs out of the Dolphins' backfield and should see an increase in work this season. I do not expect Raheem Mostert to reproduce what he did last season and I expect his deteriorating knee will also give him some trouble.
Even with Jaylen Wright and Jeff Wilson in the backfield, Achane should take that next leap, especially adding muscle as he did this off-season. The injuries from last year should not hinder him and he should reward you handsomely on your fantasy team.
