Four Pre-Season Dynasty Trade Targets

Ryan McDowell

NFL training camps around the country are underway, and we are just days away from the first pre-season game of the 2024 campaign. This means dynasty managers now have just a few weeks to put the finishing touches on their rosters. With months of tinkering, including the annual rookie draft, hopefully, your team is ready to go. That doesn’t mean it is too late to go shopping for value to help push your squad over the line as a playoff contender and possible title team.

Let’s take a look at four of my favorite dynasty trade targets, one from each of the four offensive fantasy football positions. No matter which spot you might need help with as the off-season comes to an end, you’ll find some helpful targets, including near real-time prices.

Deshaun Watson, QB CLE

Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson has had a rough few years on and off the field, though it can be argued he brought much of that upon himself. Ignoring the off-field situation for a moment, Watson has failed to live up to his pre-suspension level of play since returning to an NFL field late in the 2022 season. He’s played just 12 total games over the past two seasons, missing much of last year with an injury.

While it can’t be argued that he has been disappointing, I think the value drop Watson has endured has been too exaggerated. His current ADP of 158 matches his low point during 2021 when his career was up in the air.
