Building on that, this article identifies top value veteran targets for contending teams. These players, despite being undervalued due to age, possess the scoring potential and upside to significantly impact your contention. These are simply my personal top value vet targets; you may disagree on these, but I hope my data-based approach provides a valuable perspective and at least makes you reconsider.

Alvin Kamara, RB NO

Kamara remains the projected #1 RB for the Saints this year. Kendre Miller and Jamaal Williams' performances last year did not challenge Kamara's RB1 status. He commands a high opportunity share in the receiving game and on the goal line, which led him to rank third among all RBs in Weighted Opportunities per game last year.
