Thrash was a three-star recruit out of Georgia who started his college career at Georgia State. Unfortunately, his career started slowly; over his first three seasons, Thrash caught 43 passes for 630 yards. However, he exploded during his fourth season for 61 catches, 1,122 yards, and seven touchdowns. Following the 2022 season, Thrash earned first-team all-Sun Belt honors.
