The Philadelphia Eagles have one of the best wide receiver depth charts in the NFL. They have AJ Brown - one of the best veteran pass catchers in the league. DeVonta Smith is one of the emerging young talents in the NFL.

The Eagles did lose Quez Watkins in free agency this season, creating a void in the offense. To fill the void the team added veteran speedster Parris Campbell. The problem with Campbell is his laundry list of injuries accrued during his career. As an insurance policy, the team wanted to add depth behind Campbell that fills the role of a slot receiver who can be moved around the offense.
