Missouri wide receiver Luther Burden was not selected in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Read moreThe NFL Draft is behind us, rookie drafts are taking place, and as dynasty managers we are looking ahead to the upcoming season. In our Dynasty Rookie Post-Draft Update series, we break down all the incoming fantasy-relevant rookies, looking at their profiles and where they fit. The basis of the rookie profile involves the usage of STORM analysis, focusing on five key components: Situation, Talent, Opportunity, Risk, and Market.
Name: Brock Bowers
Position: Tight End
Pro Team: Las Vegas Raiders
College Team: Georgia
Draft Status: Round one, 13th overall
The situation wasn't an ideal landing spot for the former Bulldog. Las Vegas selected Bowers with the 13th overall pick, breaking the hearts of many dynasty football fans. I don't think anyone had the Raiders, of all teams, on their Bingo card as a realistic landing spot after selecting former Notre Dame product Michael Mayer in the second round of 2023. It was anticipated that Mayer would take over as the TE1 for Las Vegas this year, but the outlook for him and Bowers changed in a matter of seconds. Most mocks had Bowers going around the 10-15 range in round one, but team selection was one no one would have guessed. His situation will be one to monitor during camp and throughout preseason.
