Legette is a Carolina lifer, born and raised in Marion County, South Carolina before playing college football for the University of South Carolina. Now that he makes the transition to the NFL, he only has to go north of the border to North Carolina to join his NFL team. Perhaps the Carolina roots are one of the factors that led to the Panthers trading up into the first round to take Legette with the 32nd overall pick. Hometown connections are a plus, but Legette’s dynasty value will come down to his play on the field, and the play of his quarterback Bryce Young.
