Three College Running Backs to Stash, Trash, or Keep in Devy Leagues

Brandon Haye

We started the series last week with quarterbacks and now we move on to running backs. There are so many good prospects in college football it is hard to narrow it down. The NFL has devalued the position but if there are elite prospects, we have seen that they are still taken in the first or second round.

Let’s look at some running backs you should target or look to move this off-season.

Stash: DeaMonte Trayanum, Kentucky

Trayanum has had an up-and-down career so far. He was a top 300 prospect in 2020 before selecting Arizona State over Ohio State. In his first two seasons, he played 13 games but only amassed 700 total yards. After there were sanctions with the program, Trayanum decided to go back to his home state and play for the Buckeyes but as a linebacker. Later in 2022 with injuries to top back TreVeyon Henderson, Trayanum was asked to move back on offense, and he had 83 rushing yards against Michigan and averaged 5.9 yards per carry.
