2023 NFL Draft: Dynasty Fantasy Football Winners and Losers from the AFC West

With the 2023 NFL Draft now over, we can accurately re-assess the depth charts of teams around the NFL. In this series, we’ll be taking a look at players who either gained or lost value based on what their team did during the draft.

Next up, the AFC West!

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

Draft Class

  • Round One, Pick 31: Felix Anudike-Uzomah, DE Kansas State
  • Round Two, Pick 55: Rashee Rice, WR SMU
  • Round Three, Pick 92: Wanya Morris, OT Oklahoma
  • Round Four, Pick 119: Chamarri Conner, S Virginia Tech
  • Round Five, Pick 166: B.J. Thompson, LB Stephen F. Austin
  • Round Six, Pick 194: Keondre Coburn, DT Texas
  • Round Seven, Pick 250: Nic Jones, CB Ball State

Winner: Isiah Pacheco, RB

I didn’t believe the Chiefs were happy running it back with their 2022 running back corps. However, they appear to be, as they drafted no running backs in the 2023 NFL Draft. After the draft, they re-signed Jerick McKinnon and added Deneric Prince as a UDFA, but neither of those players represents a true challenge to Pacheco’s lead role.

Last year, Pacheco emerged as the Chiefs’ lead back, at least on the ground.
