2023 Rookie Drafts: Quarterback Tiers Primer

So, the NFL Draft is over. Bummer.

However, with that comes the excitement of rookie drafts, hoping to execute in constructing your roster and adding players we think have a good shot at succeeding based on the information we gathered before the draft.

You may have already commenced and completed one, two, or maybe even three of your rookie drafts so far.

But if not, I am here to help plan your strategy.

For this exercise, we will look at the rookie draft tiers as it refers to the quarterback class. Below, you will see the current rankings on our DLF Rookie rankings page. It is no surprise that Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson has now solidified the rookie QB1 ranking. I added an extra tier in this piece with more day-three picks not shown in the list below.

I also included above the April 2023 rookie superflex ADP (May's ADP has not been determined yet), which shows all five of the top quarterbacks this year going within the first 21 picks in rookie drafts and four now in the top 12.

With that being said, let's dive into how I see these tiers.
