Every year there are big-name college players that, surprisingly, do not get drafted. Fantasy Football players want to find the next sleeper. There have been success stories like Antonio Gates, Wes Welker, and Arian Foster, but for the most part, undrafted free agents do not have a high success rate.
Many will not hit, but you just must temper your expectations and not overdraft UFDAs. I am here to help find the best guesses who could see time early and make a splash. I will go over players who could contribute right away and players that you should stash on your taxi squad.
The biggest name on the UDFA list is Sean Tucker. Many college football fans loved him coming into the draft, but some medical question marks pushed him to not be drafted. He had over 3,000 rushing yards and has great speed to take it the distance. The depth chart for TB is not daunting, with Rachaad White and Chase Edmonds as the two top backs. Most teams are using two-backs now, so Tucker could impress enough in camp to get in the rotation.
Profiled Syracuse RB Sean Tucker this morning for @Steelersdepot
Legitimate home run RB; track background shows up constantly on tape. Really good vision and tempo as a runner. Think he has a shot to eventually become a serviceable starter in the NFL.https://t.co/5JXhL1I2jgpic.twitter.com/Km9CVE02aB
