
The last paragraph of the fools gold section is a bit confusing/contradicting. It appears to state that there should be minimal excitement about investing in RBs like Allgeier, but then says that you should be investing in assets like him in your rookie drafts. Is there a point of clarification you can make on this?
My take is that he’s a prime example of a sell high candidate, and that’s what I believe this portion of the article was trying to get at.
I was wondering the same… do you mean don’t buy/overpay for TA now, but yes draft these guys and flip for profit when they do what he’s done (and do it before the following draft)?
Yeah people likely got Allgeier in the late 2nd/early 3rd range. These are the guys that have limited career upside and are easily replaced, but can flash here and there. If anyone wants to buy Allgeier for a late 1st or early 2nd, I feel like that would be a steal, and how you improve in the long run. That’s what I feel the author is trying to say, but we’ll see if there’s a clarification he can make.
