Welcome to the Cornerstone Report where we will check in on the young players in football (2023-eligible college players, rookies, and sophomores) each week! As the hottest commodities in dynasty and devy, these players can make or break your teams in the future.

Here are some of the top headlines and reports for the future of the league…

Kenny McIntosh, RB Georgia shines this season

With James Cook and Zamir White going to the NFL, Georgia had an opening in its backfield for a starter. McIntosh has been the receiving back for most of the season, splitting carries with several others, but also flashing NFL potential. This past week against Georgia Tech, he led the RBs in touches and had a stellar game with 182 total yards and a TD. He is a name on the NFL radar for next year and should be on the fantasy one.

Rashee Rice, WR SMU and Dalton Kincaid, TE Utah accept Senior Bowl invites among others

One of the best ways to identify what players the NFL is interested in and who may rise in rookie draft value is to look at the invites to the Senior Bowl. The all-star game is played in Mobile, Alabama every year with NFL scouts, GMs, media, and more attending. Invitations are being announced daily, and some of the biggest names so far have been Rice and Kincaid, two potential top-50 draft picks with huge fantasy upside.

Christian Watson, WR GB continues his hot streak

After battling injuries early in the season, it has been amazing what Watson has done on a hapless Packers offense. Against the Eagles, he caught another four passes for 110 yards and a touchdown, and putting him at six touchdowns in the last three games. Watson has clearly emerged as the number one WR for the Packers and Aaron Rodgers, and he should solidify that role for the rest of the season.

Zonovan Knight, RB NYJ takes the reins in his NFL debut

With Breece Hall out for the year, James Robinson a healthy scratch, and Michael Carter getting injured in the game, the Jets had to rely on a bevy of unlikely candidates at RB. Emerging was undrafted rookie Bam Knight who had a ton of success at NC State over his career. He led the way with 69 yards rushing and a few receptions to boot. With a banged-up group, Knight’s vision and toughness may win him the job for the short term.

Rhamondre Stevenson, RB NE turning into an elite receiving back

With Damien Harris on the shelf, Stevenson has moved into a bigger role in the offense. This is seen in fantasy through his receiving work. On Thanksgiving against the Vikings, Stevenson racked up nine catches on ten targets, ending with 112 total yards for the game. Averaging almost 14 carries a game this season on top of the receiving work, Stevenson might be the next fantasy stud at RB.

Ja’Marr Chase, WR CIN eyeing return soon from his hip injury

Fantasy owners are eagerly anticipating Chase’s return, and he appears to be very close. Getting in some limited practices last week, Chase said that he did not play out of precaution. This should mean a comeback soon as the Bengals fight for the AFC North division title. Just in time for the fantasy season stretch run, a fully healthy Chase will resume his long TD catches and give owners an edge going forward.
