Devy Football Stock Market

Nathan Powell

The Devy Stock Market continues into week nine of the 2022 college football season, breaking down the highs and lows of the week in college football and how it impacts the value of players in devy dynasty leagues. This week, we break down a freshman running back vaulting up devy rankings, a struggling SEC quarterback, a freshman quarterback making his debut, and a true freshman running all over the Big 12.

Jonesing for Judkins - Quinshon Judkins, RB Ole Miss

Judkins has evolved from one of the most intriguing backup running backs in the nation, to one of the best freshmen in the nation, to one of the best running backs in the nation in a matter of weeks. Rivals' 26th-ranked running back in his recruiting class has overtaken the highly touted Zach Evans in the Ole Miss backfield and he continues to impress each and every week.

Judkins has been a bellcow for Ole Miss over the last three weeks, averaging 28 carries for 152 rushing yards with five total rushing touchdowns. Judkins' ability to overtake a highly ranked running back like Evans as a true freshman and produce at the level he has puts him in position to be one of the most valuable players in devy fantasy football in the 2023 off-season. If Judkins is rostered in any deep devy leagues, I am willing to overpay with slightly less talented devy assets who carry more value due to being closer to being in the NFL.
