Dynasty Fantasy Football Rankings: Cornerstone Report, Week 11

We take a closer look at some of the young talent in football.

Travis Etienne

Welcome to the Cornerstone Report where we will check in on the young players in football (2023-eligible college players, rookies, and sophomores) each week! As the hottest commodities in dynasty and devy, these players can make or break your teams in the future.

Here are some of the top headlines and reports for the future of the league…

Bijan Robinson, RB Texas continues his dominant season

Despite the high expectations coming into the season, Robinson has absolutely taken off and is taking games over for Texas. It’s a foregone conclusion that he will be the top rookie pick in every rookie draft, and rightfully so. He gashed top 25 Kansas State for 209 yards on the ground and another 34 through the air this past weekend. Expect Robinson to not only be the top rookie RB in fantasy next year, but his value might be the overall top RB in all of dynasty when he enters the league.

Devon Achane, RB Texas A&M rising up draft boards

A name that has been forgotten about is the 4.3 track athlete Achane, one of the lone shining spots for the Aggies. Despite a five-game losing streak, the offense has achieved when using Achane as the primary weapon. Against Florida, he averaged over 7.5 YPC on the ground with 3 total TDs in the game. An elite pass catcher with speed, top 50 buzz is rising for Achane who should be an interesting fantasy player at the next level.

Romeo Doubs, WR GB goes down with an injury

As the Packers continue losing, Doubs had shown flashes of becoming a downfield threat and potential number one receiver. After a catch this past week, he went down with a high ankle sprain and will miss at least a few weeks. Doubs will be an interesting evaluation for dynasty teams after this year as Aaron Rodgers regresses and the Packers continue to add weapons, but the injury likely knocks him down a peg moving forward.

Cade Otton, TE TB seals a Buccaneers victory

Finding a young TE to produce points is always difficult (just see Kyle Pitts’ season), but Otton might be turning the corner as a startable fantasy TE. Catching a TD pass to put the Bucs over the top for a win, and coming through for fantasy owners, he proved he is a trusted target for Tom Brady. A standout at Washington, Otton was an excellent two-way TE with athleticism, so he could be emerging as a strong buy candidate in dynasty.

Rashod Bateman, WR BAL ends his season on IR

After getting injured last week, Bateman’s season has come to a close after Lisfranc foot surgery. Struggling through the season with feet injuries has not helped fantasy owners, and his entire future is in doubt now after some promising performances. He simply has not been able to stay healthy, let alone get enough targets in a run-heavy offense, to be a cornerstone player. It may be time to bail on Bateman before his value completely tanks.

Travis Etienne, RB JAC producing top fantasy points

Etienne is quietly producing huge fantasy numbers with his third straight game with over 100 yards and at least one TD. This past week against the Raiders, Etienne ended up finding the end zone twice and rewarding fantasy owners. The electric athlete clearly has the trust of QB Trevor Lawrence and the coaching staff. Etienne is creeping up and in the conversation for a top-three dynasty RB as we move into the backend of the season.
