Hey, subscribe to the DLF YouTube channel! Thanks to all of you, we just passed 8,000 subscribers last week! If you are not subscribed and would like MORE FREE content from the DLF team, the YouTube channel is the way to go! I won’t stop promoting the channel in this introduction until we hit 10K, so either subscribe to help the cause or stop reading these introductions.

In case you are reading this, there is one bit of information to know before you start reading names. Just like last year’s series, we will be utilizing player rostership percentages, courtesy of real dynasty rosters from 1,700 MFL leagues. While this may not be entirely accurate for every individual league, it is very reflective of how managers view who is worthy or not of a roster spot. Now that that’s covered, let’s dive into the waiver wire after week three!

Players to double-check availability and immediately add:

Zach Pascal, WR PHI

I’m going to be completely honest – the waiver wire this week (and honestly this year so far) sucks. So, to help make up for a short and less informative article this week, I wanted to at least give y’all a player who is very widely available who I think should be stashed in 22+ man rosters: Zach Pascal. Why?

  1. I believe he is actually a very solid receiver, a la Tim Patrick, Zay Jones, KJ Osborn – solid role players who are trusted by their NFL teams.
  2. He is the Eagles’ WR3, which doesn’t account for much now when everyone is healthy, but if someone were to get injured, Pascal could step into a larger role and be a spot start for you in a pinch.

Pascal has shown the ability to be valuable for fantasy before with the Colts. He actually opened the season last year with a WR19 and WR33 finish in weeks one and two with TY Hilton out, playing as the WR2 with Michael Pittman. In fact, he’s finished as a top-36 WR in almost 40% of the games where he’s played 85% of snaps. How does this help us now? Well, as I said, it doesn’t when everyone is healthy, but we’ve seen how consolidated this Eagles offense is with its target share between AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedart. Should Brown or Smith miss any time at all, as we’ve seen Brown specifically do in his career, Pascal could slot in as that third target on what’s become a top passing attack with Jalen Hurts.

I wouldn’t spend anything significant to get him, but given his wide availability and his lack of production, he should be extremely cheap, if not free, to add from waivers this week. I would rather roster Pascal in my receiving corps, than guys like Bryan Edwards, Denzel Mims, Amari Rodgers, Dyami Brown, D’Wayne Eskridge, Anthony Schwartz, and Darius Slayton, all of whom are currently rostered in more leagues than Pascal.

Mack Hollins, WR LV

Another receiver who is actually rostered in fewer leagues than Pascal is Mack Hollins. I honestly don’t know what to make of Hollins’ production this week other than we know it came with Hunter Renfrow out. Whether that is indicative of future production without Renfrow, I’m not sure, but apparently the upside is 8-158-1 across from Davante Adams.

I expect Renfrow to be back next week since he missed due to a concussion, but Hollins seems like he’s in the same boat as Pascal right now, a “handcuff-y” wide receiver who could be flex worthy if a starter misses time. I still wouldn’t throw much FAAB on him, only a couple percent, but I would add him over all the receivers I listed in the Pascal section too if you’re able to grab Hollins cheap.

Foster Moreau, TE LV

Moving to the tight end position for the Raiders, Moreau has been an intriguing name for some time now, which is why he’s rostered in almost 85% of dynasty leagues. If you are in one of the 16% of leagues where he is available, I would pick him up and stash him now for a couple of reasons:

  1. He has shown he can be a handcuff tight end and startable when Darren Waller is out.
  2. He’s only 25 years old, turning 26 in May.
  3. He’s quite athletic for his 6’4”, 253-pound frame, running a 4.66-second 40 at his Combine in 2019.
  4. He’s a free agent at the end of this season.

The combination of all of that makes for a very interesting tight end stash, most importantly the fact that he is a free agent after this season and could sign somewhere as a team TE1, especially after the commitment that Las Vegas just made to Waller.

In the dreary and sad tight end landscape in dynasty, we often try to identify who the next breakout is at the position. We often look for those athletic players like Noah Gray, Kylen Granson, Donald Parham, and Hunter Long. But what if the next guy is actually Moreau, who has flashed actually fantasy production, is potentially just as athletic as those guys, but has a clearer path currently to being a team’s starter than a lot of other stash tight ends. I would rather have Moreau over all of those guys, and more. So check if Moreau is available and if not, maybe tack him on as a throw-in during your next dynasty trade.
