Good article. As a Pitt alum, I watched Picket over the years and suggest that he is the real deal. Also, nice pics of the Pitt uniforms, which in my biased opinion are some of best looking in college football.
Picketts’s ability to go through progressions and do so quickly this past year along with formidible size and arm strength give me hope that he will be a good pro QB. I am just not sure how good a fantasy QB he will be. He reminds me of Burrow but a lesser version. Stafford would be a better comparison, who is bad on a bad team and good on a good team. Pickett has the potential to be a top 10 fantasy QB if selected to the right team with good WR weapons (DEN: Sutton & Judy for example). He did break some of Dan Marino’s records at Pitt but it did take him 5 years to do it.
He may not be the next great Pitt player such as Hugh Green (almost won the heisman as DE), B. Fralic (origin of the pancake block because he was so dominant) or A Donald (best player in NFL right now) but I forsee success for him in the NFL.
