Is it worth selling AJ Brown and Cam Akers for the 1.01 in a superflex? Pretty desperate for QB help with Brees on the way out.

I’m not the author of this article, but no, I definitely wouldn’t do that. You’re trading a top-5 WR and top-10 RB for a prospect with the upside of a top-5 QB. I mean, if you really believe Trevor Lawrence is the next Peyton Manning, maybe… but trading Deandre Hopkins and Mark Ingram / Doug Martin for Andrew Luck, who I think was an even better prospect than Trevor Lawrence, probably wasn’t worth it.
To clarify, AJB –> Hopkins and Akers –> Ingram / Martin isn’t meant as a play-style comparison, just a roughly similar pair of WR/RB in terms of relative age / career prospects versus the QB they’re being traded for.

This may be an unhelpful analogy. Either way, I’m afraid of giving away a sure thing at WR (my dynasty WR2) and a great young RB for an unproven, if elite, QB prospect.

Even in superflex, I think AJB is worth the 1.01 alone. Akers isn’t terribly far off (maybe mid-1st). So I think you’d be giving up way too much.

If you have a lot of depth at WR/RB/TE, perhaps you could ask for something back as well? Or give up two guys a tier below (or at least make the offer to get negotiations started…)?

If you paying that much then go ahead and try and get Murray, Mahomes, Allen, or Lamar.
