Lineup Advice: Week Eight – Las Vegas Edition

Week Eight - Las Vegas Edition (PLEASE READ)

Get your lineup questions to me ASAP for the best chance to receive a response!

Every week I do my very best to ensure my timeliness and accuracy to each question is as good as it can be.  This is made possible by managing my time well to provide for the needed research and detail that each of your questions deserve.  For the next three weeks, especially here in week eight, I won't be able to guarantee response to questions posed after Thursday AM.

I'm embarking on a solo road trip on Thursday AM with my first destination being Las Vegas, arriving sometime early Friday afternoon.  Before that, I'll be on the road and may not have good Internet service, or time.  Once in Vegas, while I will still try to attend to each of your questions, though the job will be made more difficult due to a combination of Vegas factors (I'll leave it to you to determine which those may be).  Rest assured I will be parked on a private couch in a sportsbook on Sunday watching all the action.  Having only a single laptop screen for all my resources that I use in answering the questions will also be challenging.  But I'll do my best.

Following Vegas I'll be on the road for another two weeks in Arizona and, while I should have much more free time and be clearer of thought, I still can't guarantee the same level of service and attention that you all have come to, hopefully, expect.  But, knowing my commitment to all of you, I'll be doing my very best.

Week Eight

The byepocalypse that was week seven is behind us.  That was ridiculous!  I couldn't help but chuckle multiple times while setting my lineups and, as expected, I had my poorest week of the season.  For the most part, however, I'm having a fantastic fantasy season and still have one 7-0 team and two more that are 6-1 with only one dumpster fire of a team beset with injury (Dalvin Cook, Akers and Golladay) and poor play (Aiyuk, Allen Robinson, etc.).  Here's hoping to a high draft selection for that team.  For nearly all my teams, they are steaming toward the playoffs or are very much in the hunt as I juggle injuries.  The injury bug has been particularly brutal this year.

The trade deadline is fast approaching (11/2) so this is a great time to add fringe players who could see an increase in role or situation which raises their future value.

Please focus on these following items this week for me to help me get to all the questions:

  • Put "TNF" as the top line for any question involving Thursday Night Football games
  • Include your scoring format  (PPR, Non-PPR, etc.)
  • Keep your questions as brief as possible - I won't have the screens I'm used to over the next three weeks
  • I always try to keep up with responses but, when in doubt, if you have an update post a new question
  • Include your "lock" picks of the week who I should be betting on for this week's games

Have a great week!
