Lineup Advice: Week 17 – Sound Off!

Week 17

Some of us still have championship games in week 17. While I don’t advocate having a single championship game in the final week of the NFL regular season, I do like formats which include a two or three game playoff including week 17.  In fact, I think the week 17 challenge presents an interesting angle for consideration as the year plays out and can add nuance to a championship series, testing bench depth.  It’s not everyone’s cup of tea and I get that, but I actually like it.  That said, only one of my league uses week 17 as part of a two-week playoff between the championship teams.

For that reason, here is your final lineup advice article for 2020.  I’d like to open this up to everyone, not just those of you with rings still on the line.

This is your opportunity to let me have it if you followed my advice and it cost you a championship.  Or, if this article series made a difference to your dynasty journey here in 2020, I’d love to hear that as well.  I’d be lying if I said that some weeks it wasn’t a real challenge to bring my “A” game and ensure that my advice is well researched, sound and as accurate as possible.

Rest assured,  I know my advice doesn’t always yield positive results.  There’s no way for me to achieve 100% accuracy.  Furthermore, as the questions have become longer and greater in volume, it has challenged my ability to do the deep research into each choice.  It’s something I’ve been struggling with as to how to correct.  I frequently go back and read the questions and my resulting advice to determine how I did, what mistakes I made and how not to make them again.  But every week presents new challenges and there are some choices there is no way to get correct – there’s just too much variability in this fine game we love.  But I’m not one to ever be comfortable making that statement.  I endeavor to be the best and the most accurate.  I expect it of myself and you deserve nothing less.

So, SOUND OFF all you DLF’ers!  This is your week to speak your mind.

Until next year, I’m wishing you and your families a joyous, healthy and prosperous 2021.  Be the difference you wish to see in our world!
