Superflex Rookie ADP Report

Ryan McDowell

At DLF, we pride ourselves in ensuring we prepare you for the happenings of the off-season. For many dynasty players, the highlight of the spring and summer months is the annual rookie draft. Along with our recently released 1QB rookie ADP, we also wanted to take care of the growing superflex dynasty community. We recently hosted eight superflex rookie mocks and collected the data to bring you rookie superflex ADP.

ROUND ONE:

As expected, only a pair of quarterbacks crack the first round with Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins as the 1.05 pick and Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray falling down to 1.08. I would expect both players to go earlier than this is actual superflex rookie mocks. Haskins and Murray are seemingly the only signal-callers considered locks to be selected in the first round of the NFL Draft and that carries over in these superflex rookie drafts as well.

ROUND TWO:

Along with two more tight ends in T.J. Hockenson and Irv Smith, Jr. we see only one quarterback selected in the second round, Missouri’s Drew Lock. Lock has been a popular mock draft pick of the Denver Broncos early in the first round but even that lofty draft capital is probably not enough to push him into the first-round group.

ROUND THREE:

Another pair of quarterbacks come off the board in the third round as veteran starters Will Grier and Daniel Jones are selected. Both have been at times considered potential first-round draft picks, though that outcome seems to be unlikely. By the third round of dynasty rookie drafts, it is easy to spend a pick on a quarterback in this format, though the return on investment rarely works out.

ROUND FOUR-Plus:

The remainder of rookies rounding out our February superflex rookie ADP include seven more quarterbacks, including one I consider a major steal. Former Auburn signal caller Jarrett Stidham could’ve left school a year ago but opted to return and likely lost value and money because of the decision. Regardless, he is a bargain outside of the top 36 rookies.
