Fantasy Stat Pack: Week 13
If you follow me on Twitter, you’ve probably noticed a series of tweets I share on a weekly basis regarding player and team defensive performances, all through a fantasy lens. I’m going to share some of that same information with you here.
I use this information each week as I am making my own lineup and waiver wire decisions, and I hope you find it to be valuable as well.
Note: The scoring system used for this data is always PPR with four points for passing touchdowns.
All year to date fantasy ranks are based on total points.

QB8 | Josh Allen, BUF |
QB9 | Kyle Allen, CAR |
QB10 | Dak Prescott, DAL |
QB11 | Lamar Jackson, BAL |
QB12 | Patrick Mahomes, KC |
Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson pulled off one of the rarest feats at his position, a touchdown reception, boosting him to the QB1 spot for Week Thirteen. Ryan Fitzpatrick and Josh Allen stayed hot, and the 49ers defense finally slowed down Lamar Jackson, though not enough to get the win over Baltimore.

QB11 | Tom Brady, NE |
QB12 | Carson Wentz, PHI |
The majority of the top fantasy scorers at the quarterback position remained the same, though Patrick Mahomes did jump a couple of spots while Jameis Winston’s quiet game pushed him from QB7 to QB9. Carson Wentz jumped back into the QB1 range, replacing the suddenly-struggling Matt Ryan, who was last week’s QB12.

The Cardinals, Lions and Giants have each surrendered ten QB1 games through thirteen weeks and are now easy targets as we enter the fantasy playoffs. This makes Kirk Cousins a solid choice as he faces the Lions, and Carson Wentz could enjoy his second straight big game after weeks of disappointing play. The Cardinals face the Steelers, who will stick with Devlin Hodges. Matchup or no matchup, you should have better options this week. The Bengals (vs. Baker Mayfield) and Dolphins (vs. Sam Darnold) are next in line with eight QB1 performances allowed.
The Ravens, Bears and Chargers have only given up one QB1 game all season, making them dangerous foes to bet against with playoff lives on the lines. Baltimore faces Josh Allen, while the Bears host Dak Prescott and the Cowboys on Thursday night. The Chargers face off against rookie Gardner Minshew in a game to generally avoid.

RB10 | Todd Gurley, LAR |
RB11 | Peyton Barber, TB |
RB12 | Leonard Forunette, JAX |
On Sunday night football, James White exploded for his best game ever, mostly thanks to several dump-off passes from Tom Brady. White broke a couple of big plays and set new career-highs in rushing yards and fantasy points. Second-year back Derrius Guice also enjoyed a career-day, rushing for 129 yards on just ten carries.

The Lions’ entire team has fallen apart as injuries have taken their toll. Detroit has allowed nine RB1 games. While they might get lucky this week if the Vikings’ Dalvin Cook is unable to play, rookie backup Alexander Mattison is no slouch. The Panthers, Chargers and Dolphins are next with eight RB1 games allowed. This puts Devonta Freeman, Leonard Fournette and Le’Veon Bell in play for week 14.
With just a few weeks left in the season, the Steelers defense has still yet to allow a single RB1 game. They face Arizona this Sunday where Kenyan Drake has fully claimed the backfield ahead of the struggling David Johnson and Chase Edmonds. The Patriots (vs. Devin Singletary) and Saints (vs. Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman) are other matchups to avoid.
Wide Receivers
Week Thirteen WR1s (top 12 scorers)
Rank | Player |
WR1 | DeVante Parker, MIA |

WR7 (tie) | Anthony Miller, CHI |
WR9 | Allen Robinson, CHI |
WR10 | Julian Edelman, NE |
WR11 | James Washington, PIT |
WR12 | Allen Lazard, GB |
The steady breakout season for Dolphins receiver DeVante Parker come to a head in week 13 as the veteran exploded for a two-touchdown performance and the first overall WR1 game of his career. Veteran Robert Woods also set some new career-best marks but still hasn’t scored a touchdown as a receiver. The Bears receivers had barely produced all season but on Thanksgiving, Anthony Miller and Allen Robinson each posted WR1 level scores.

The top-twelve wideouts continue to fluctuate wildly on a weekly basis. This week, that means a move up for Cooper Kupp to WR6 along with DJ Moore and Keenan Allen climbing the ranks even further. Kenny Golladay is back among the WR1s and Jarvis Landry makes an appearance, replacing Julio Jones and Tyler Lockett.

The Dolphins continue to set the pace when it comes to allowing top performances from wideouts, surrendering 11 WR1 games this year. This week, they face Robby Anderson and Jamison Crowder of the Jets. The Buccaneers are next with ten WR1 games but host a Colts team with no real threats at the receiver position with TY Hilton unlikely to play.
The Patriots have given up only one WR1 game all year, which does not bode well for the Chiefs high-powered offense and receiver Tyreek Hill.
Tight Ends
Week Thirteen TE1s (top 12 scorers)
Rank | Player |
TE1 | Tyler Higbee, LAR |
TE2 | Jack Doyle, IND |
TE3 | Mike Gesicki, MIA |
TE4 | Jason Witten, DAL |

TE8 | Mark Andrews, BAL |
TE8 (tie) | Travis Kelce, KC |
TE10 | Kaden Smith, NYG |
TE11 | Dallas Goedert, PHI |
TE12 | Jared Cook, NO |
With Gerald Everett out with an injury and facing the ideal matchup against the Cardinals, Rams Tyler Higbee exploded for easily the best game of his career, finishing as the overall TE1 on the week. Jack Doyle also took advantage of his teammate’s absence finishing as the TE2 with Eric Ebron out for the year.

TE9 | Evan Engram, NYG |
TE10 | Jason Witten, DAL |
TE11 | Jared Cook, NO |
TE12 | Kyle Rudolph, MIN |
Travis Kelce continues to hold down the top spot among season-long scorers, but after that things are the wild west. Raiders up and down tight end Darren Waller is back near the top, moving from TE5 to TE2, knocking Zach Ertz down to TE4. Veterans Kyle Rudolph and Jason Witten are back in the TE1 group, replacing Darren Fells and Everett.

As previously mentioned, the Cardinals allowed another overall TE1 game and this week is Vance McDonald’s turn to bust out of a slump. The Packers (vs. Jeremy Sprinkle), Buccaneers (vs. Jack Doyle) and Titans (vs. Waller) are other tight end targets.
The Ravens have allowed just two TE1 games this season and that’s unlikely to change against the Bills and rookie Dawson Knox.
Finally, here is the chart summarizing how teams have fared against each position. I’ve also included the schedule for this week for reference.
