I’m a Cain owner in multiple leagues. I’m gonna stash on my taxi squad and hope for the best.
Is Chad Kelly worth a stash to handcuff Brissett?
So in a Superflex league 14 team.
I now only have Watson and Dalton how long do you hold on to Luck or try to trade to team who won’t compete this year and try to get some value?
Luck is a very smart man, and a very rich man.
He runs on intellect, not emotion.
Andrew has a kid on the way and would go back to college for academics than suit up for the Colts again.
He will not be back in the NFL and is worthless as a fantasy asset
What are we selling Brissett for? Luck owner is inquiring..
In a SF league I got Rosen and a 2nd… I was thrilled.
I don’t see Luck returning and am planning on him not making the final cuts this year. If he comes back and another team gets him then I guess it is what it is but I just don’t believe Andrew has the mentality and/or drive of a Brett Favre or Peyton Manning to come back as he is more interested in living life and enjoying family. Maybe I’m wrong but I do not believe I am.
Because he is still under contract, Indy will likely put him on their inactive/retire list which means they will be able to maintain his rights should he decide to unretire at some point in the future. Considering the millions of $$ they let him walk away with, without trying to recoup any of it, I’m sure they would welcome him back with open arms.
Brissett may be better than many think. Yes, he is a step down from Andrew Luck, but he’s certainly talented and should make a solid QB 2. The team has many more offensive weapons than the Colts had when he started in the 2017 season and the coaching staff and defense are also much improved, as well. If he can lead the Colts to a winning record, it’s possible he will be signed to a long term contract. I would not be surprised if he finishes as a top 20 QB this season. Pick him up in all dynasty leagues if available.
Agree. Use that 2017 season narrative to your advantage, because it makes no sense in reality. Back then Brissett was an inexperienced backup thrust into the starting job after being traded only a week before. The team around him was terrible as was the offensive system. Now he’s got a great new offense, improved talent all around, over a year in the system and an offseason of being exclusively in charge. He’s no Luck but if your leaguemates are buying this idea that 2017 Brissett/Hilton are all we can hope for, that’s a buying window in my mind.
