Standard Dynasty Rankings: 81-90

This article is a continuation of our Standard Dynasty Rankings Series that takes us through our full top 100 rankings.

I’ve been excited about each and every group we’ve showcased in our top 100 series. But this one absolutely takes the cake. At wide receiver, tight end, and quarterback alike, we have fantastic young talents that I’ve completely fallen in love with. And even so for our contending owners, we’ve got a trio of players that you’ll certainly want to get your hands on.

Enough talk, I’m too eager to get started. Let’s get into 81-90 of our Standard Dynasty Rankings!

81) Lamar Miller, RB HOU | 2017 Finish: RB 14 | Age: 27

Running backs like Lamar Miller don’t come along this late very often. Any every contending owner wouldn’t hesitate for a second to add him here. So why is a 27-year-old coming off an RB14 season available here? Because of one young man in his shadow: D’Onta Foreman. The second-year runner out of Texas won’t put a huge dent in Miller’s 2018 value, but as the years go on, Foreman’s role will only grow. Miller will be viewed as a potential steal by some, and a player to avoid by others. Make sure you know what your team is looking for before taking a chance on him.

82) O.J. Howard, TE TB | 2017 Finish: TE 16 | Age: 23

I know I’m not the only one who was pleasantly surprised with O.J. Howard’s TE16 season. If he’s putting up that kind of production as a rookie, we have to think he has several top-12 years ahead of him. Once Howard can fully and completely win the starting job in Tampa Bay, expect big things to come forth. Picking the former first rounder here could potentially set you up at tight end for the next decade.

83) DeVante Parker, WR MIA | 2017 Finish: WR 57 | Age: 25

I think it’s fair to say that DeVante Parker is wearing our collective industry’s patience thin. If you haven’t been following his career much, we’re talking about a former 11th overall pick who has yet to crack 750 yards. Just when you feel like giving up on him, he’ll show glimpses of his extraordinary talent and renews your hope in his future. Parker hasn’t shown a whole lot in his three-year career. But his upside still makes him an intriguing option here.

84) Duke Johnson, RB CLE | 2017 Finish: RB 21 | Age: 24

Before starting the research for this series, I had an image of Duke Johnson as a PPR-only back. Boy was I wrong. Sure, he’s not quite as potent in standard scoring, but still, he has very real value to offer. Owners might be worried about the off-season additions of Carlos Hyde and Nick Chubb. But as the one true receiving back in the Cleveland backfield, I’m not too worried about his snaps going down. Only 24 years old, you can feel really great about grabbing Johnson here.

85) Calvin Ridley, WR ATL | 2017 Finish: N/A | Age: 23

I’ve raved about Calvin Ridley in Atlanta time and time again. Do you mind if I do it one more time? Ridley was picked on draft night just behind D.J. Moore and arguably landed in just as good a spot. Yet his dynasty value is miles behind Moore’s. I honestly think Ridley is one of the better bargains available right now. I understand if you want to see it on the field before you’re ponying up future picks to acquire him. But I’m afraid that once he starts playing, his value will only shoot up.

86) Nelson Agholor, WR PHI | 2017 Finish: WR 22 | Age: 25

Wasn’t Nelson Agholor a pure joy to watch with Carson Wentz last year? In comparison to his first two seasons, his 2017 campaign was nothing short of special. Forget setting season-high marks, Agholor beat his 2015 and 2016 combined yards, and more than doubled his previous two years’ total touchdowns. I don’t think this was a fluke or one-off season. He’s only getting started.

87) Kirk Cousins, QB MIN | 2017 Finish: QB 6 | Age: 29

With the rise of Adam Thielen and the addition of Dalvin Cook in 2017, the Vikings suddenly have some of the best skill position talent in the NFL. Case Keenum was able to finish as the QB14 last year. No disrespect to him, but Kirk Cousins can do even better. This offense is going to put up staggering yards and points over the next few years. His numbers will reflect that in a big way. There are younger quarterbacks available, but Cousins gives you an every-week starter you can count on from day one.

88) Michael Crabtree, WR BAL | 2017 Finish: WR 28 | Age: 30

Michael Crabtree isn’t quite an every-week must start, but he’s the type of receiver every owner would love to have. Two receivers have caught at least eight touchdowns over the last three seasons. Antonio Brown is rather unsurprising, but not many people would expect to hear Crabtree is the other name. All three of those seasons obviously took place in Oakland with Derek Carr. Now in Baltimore, we’ll have to see if he can continue finding the end zone at an elite rate.

89) Jameis Winston, QB TB | 2017 Finish: QB 22 | Age: 24

There’s no reason to freak out. Jameis Winston is going to be more than fine. Yes, he just had his worst fantasy season as a pro. But had he played all 16 games like he did in 2015 and 2016, his numbers would have been right there, if not better than his first two seasons. Even more encouraging, Winston set career marks in terms of completion percentage and interceptions, which are both excellent tells of how well a quarterback is developing. There’s no reason to be dishing off Famous Jameis. This kid has several bright years ahead of him.

90) Jared Goff, QB LAR | 2017 Finish: QB 12 | Age: 23

Jared Goff is coming off a low-end QB1 year at 23 years old. What more of a sales pitch do we need? This kid has just about everything going for him: Youth, production, and a plethora of talent around him. If there’s one concern I have with Goff, it’s his ceiling. He put together an amazing 2017, yet still didn’t find himself in the top ten. I’m not saying he won’t get there. I’m just not sure if we’ll ever see him carry teams to championships.
