Standard Dynasty Rankings: 91-100

Bradley Ylitalo

This article is a continuation of our Standard Dynasty Rankings Series that takes us through our full top 100 rankings.

Doing all the research, preparation, and writing for this Standard Dynasty Rankings series has been an absolute blast. I will be issuing a recurring update every three months, but still, it’s sad to see this come to end for now. I want to say a big thanks to all you readers for making this project so fun and worthwhile.

I know I say this a lot, but I really like who we have here today. With two incoming rookie receivers and five second-year standouts, we have some of the best young talent in our game.

Let’s get into 91-100 of our Standard Dynasty Rankings.

91) Marlon Mack, RB IND | 2017 Finish: RB 45 | Age: 22

I fell in love with Marlon Mack in his time as a South Florida Bull. Back then, he was a big play threat on every single snap. I’m hoping we start to see that part of his game fully come to fruition in year two as a Colt. He’s far from a household name. But now that the ageless Frank Gore has gone down to Miami, he can truly take over this backfield. Mack will shoot up these rankings at if he can put up an impressive 2018.

92) Patrick Mahomes, QB KC | 2017 Finish: 1 Start | Age: 22

There are a million different reasons I’m excited about the 2018 season. But there’s only a few I absolutely can’t wait for. Seeing Patrick Mahomes as a starting quarterback definitely falls in the latter category. To refresh those that have forgotten, the Chiefs took Mahomes tenth overall in the 2017 draft, and the Texas Tech product spent last season sitting and learning from Alex Smith. I’m not hyperbolizing when I say he that has every tool you could ask for. Give Mahomes a chance, and I highly doubt you’ll regret it.

93) Martavis Bryant, WR OAK | 2017 Finish: WR 51 | Age: 26

Martavis Bryant is now in Oakland. Is anyone else curious what this Raiders team will look like under Jon Gruden? Whether the team succeeds or disappoints, we’re all looking for Bryant to bounce back big time in 2018. The 26-year-old sat out all of 2016 with a suspension and had some pretty high expectations coming into last year. Then Bryant laid a total egg. In 15 games played, he set his career lows in both touchdowns and yards per game. Look for him to get back on track this fall.

94) Kenny Golladay, WR DET | 2017 Finish: WR 64 | Age: 25

Everything about Kenny Golladay screams standard scoring receiver. The 2017 third round pick is a big bodied red zone threat who at 17.0 yards per catch, makes the most of his limited receptions. That’s key playing in this Lions offense. With Marvin Jones and Golden Tate eating up most of the targets, there just aren’t many leftover for Golladay. There’s a good chance neither Jones nor Tate are leaving Detroit anytime soon. Even if we have to wait a few years to see Babytron fully break out, the rewards will be well worth his price.

95) Dion Lewis, RB TEN | 2017 Finish: RB 12 | Age: 27

Dion Lewis was just your typical Patriots receiving back up until a year ago. And then his 2017 outburst happened. In year five of his career, the Pitt product bested his total rushing yards and touchdowns from years one through four combined. After his career year that netted him an RB1 finish, Lewis inked a healthy four-year contract to play in Tennessee.

So what does his future look like as a Titan? We know we can’t expect him to be the lead back as long as Derrick Henry is in the building. What we can expect him to be is a heavily used third-down back, who is mixed in often as a change of pace.

96) D’Onta Foreman, RB HOU | 2017 Finish: RB 65 | Age: 22

Readers who had the opportunity to look at our last section from a few days ago know that this isn’t D’Onta Foreman’s first appearance. No, we don’t have a double, but we did talk about how much Foreman has impacted Lamar Miller’s dynasty value. While he won’t be much of a weapon for owners in 2018, I and many others are excited about what he is going to do down the road. We discussed how good of an option Miller is for contenders. Well, similarly, Foreman is a perfect fit for any rebuilder.

97) Isaiah Crowell, RB NYJ | 2017 Finish: RB 30 | Age: 25

There are a couple things I absolutely love about Isaiah Crowell. Let’s start with his durability. At a position where nobody is immune to getting dinged up, he’s been the model of health so far. Four years in, zero games missed. How about workload? It’s now been three straight years where he has secured at least 180 carries. If Crowell can up his efficiency in New York (career 4.2 yards per carry), there should be more big things to come.

98) Tarik Cohen, RB CHI | 2017 Finish: RB 41 | Age: 22

The human joystick. This young man is a pure joy to watch on Sundays. Tarik Cohen is pretty firmly behind Jordan Howard in the Chicago backfield, but he doesn’t have to pass him up to be an effective dynasty asset. As a fairly inefficient rookie, Cohen was still able to be a high-end RB4. Give him some time to mature his skill set and I have no doubts he’ll have little issue topping that on a yearly basis.

99) Christian Kirk, WR ARI | 2017 Finish: N/A | Age: 21

I’m not trying to downplay previous or present Cardinals receivers. But outside of Larry Fitzgerald of late, there really hasn’t been a game changer. I think Christian Kirk can be just that. He’ll provide Sam Bradford, and eventually Josh Rosen, a threat who can win at all levels of the field. Kirk’s got big-play athleticism and can do a whole lot with the ball in his hands. Anticipate WR3 production in a few years, as well as numerous highlight reel plays.

100) Michael Gallup, WR DAL | 2017 Finish: N/A | Age: 22

Dez Bryant is still a free agent, but he’s not coming back to Dallas. This wide receiver room is completely up for grabs. Courtland Sutton and James Washington are more talented receivers, but neither of them landed in a spot as promising as this. Michael Gallup has a tremendous opportunity on his hands. If the third rounder isn’t up to the task and can’t win the starting job, oh well. You wouldn’t be losing a ton here. But if he can grab a top spot and hold on to it, you’ll only see his value increase.
