Who paid you to say nice things about Washington’s willingness to pay for their offense? Did I miss the part where they stopped giving Cousins the cold shoulder? I like Perine but the high likelihood of losing their QB next season frightens me and really dulls my long term outlook on him. I’d love to get him at the back of the 1st, top of the 2nd but I would be going into it with my eyes open: There’s a good chance I’m selling this guy at season’s end (regardless of performance) because that QB situation isn’t likely to get any prettier in free agency

Someone explain this high likeyhood of skins losing Kirk. I mean you gotta just be really stupid to buy into this

You want to know what’s really stupid? Paying a QB 20, 24, and 27 million a year instead of signing him to a long term contract. It is very unlikely they franchise him again and even if they do, where does that leave them? With 1 more year to find a solution. They have no future on the route they are currently taking. They have been steadfast that they will not give Kirk the long term contract he wants (and probably deserves) at this point so they will eventually lose him, be it to mounting cost, massive injury to him, or just bad play making him not worth keeping. And that leaves the skins with Colt fricken Mccoy in the captain’s chair. Unless they sign Kirk to an extension, this will be a team that undoubtedly will have some fantasy production but it’s a house of cards that could collapse any second

I mean allow me to educate you. Redskins win 8 or under games who cares where Kirk plays really right? So skins win 9-13 and we tag him again at 27 and then what? He gets offered what 27 per from niners and skins decide that no thanks we just won 13 games and made playoffs and won a playoff game but we’re gonna let Kirk walk

I rail often about the greedy owners hard balling the players but you will never hear kirk cousins be a guy I defend and anyone that feels he is being treated unfairly is due for a head examination and should likely be in the concussion protocol. 44 million for the last 2 seasons with zero play off wins. He is a robert griffin injury or two away from being a 6 million $ a year career backup as he was mostly awful before the dawn of the 2015 season , he is the luckiest man in the league with plenty of guys that are more deserving of big money still playing for relative peanuts. Not sure who he thinks he is and I could even see the redskins rewarding him last year for his surprise 2015 but when he started acting like he deserves andrew luck $ just because he over achieved for a season after 3 years of complete mediocrity or worse ,they should have been out right then and there . dude has less play off wins than tj yates or tim tebow and he is making 24 million $ this year . If I were a redskins fan I would take all my stuff out to the back yard and douse it with lighter fluid and set it ablaze.

I had a friend actually tell me today that if we tag Kirk at 27 there is gonna be a bidding war and skins will bow out. That Kirk gets 35-40 per. Are people really believing this? Do you people not understand how a market works? Economics 101? So let me get this straight. We can offer Matty ice say 50 per and just pay Falcons 2 ones? I mean that’s essentially the same thing. But the likeliehood of either is less than zero percent and only sheep are considering it to be possible.

What are you babbling about. If you were paying attention this offseason, Kirk got franchised. Clearly they haven’t come to a deal and until they do, he could possibly become a free agent. Forget Marketing 101, thats just plain cause and effect. Dont be such a condescending jerk.

He’s been tagged twice – and the only QB ever BTW – so if you can’t figure out why people hesitate on the Skins QB situation, let me know and I will draw it up for you.

I’d buy Perine with a late 1st. He has ‘Bruce Allen’s fingerprints’ on him. He’ll get every opportunity AND a good offensive line.
But, Allen has done with Cousins is mind-boggling. This just in —- for Jeremy —- as it stands the Redskins will lose Cousins in 2018, for a possible compensatory pick. Okay, someone pick Jeremy off the floor.
