Dynasty Player News Service

After a week long ‘soft rollout’, we are excited to formally announce the release of the Dynasty Player News service! This is a feature we have been planning for a very long time, and are enthusiastic about finally making it a reality.

Most of you have probably already noticed the addition to the DLF home page, located just under the featured article images on both desktop and mobile..

The DLF Dynasty Player News service will be a free player news feed similar to the industry-defining services offered by Rotoworld Player Headlines and the USAToday News Items used by Footballguys and others.  The DLF Dynasty Player News service is not intended to replace those outstanding resources, but rather complement them by offering a dynasty-specific focus on NFL player news. Our goal is to provide timely player news and analysis in a dynasty context.

As mentioned, this tool is a result of many years of discussion, planning, implementation and coding. Many individuals have contributed ideas and suggestions, so it would be difficult to list every person who has contributed.  But in particular we would like to acknowledge Scott Fish for his development of the tools and systems which allow us to produce these news blurbs in a timely and efficient manner.  Also thanks to Mike MacGregor for creating the rss feed for this service.

Also worthy of recognition is the team of writers who will be producing these news items.  We won’t name them all here but you will be able to view the author name in each of the news items. Our writers will be offering their own personal analysis of the breaking news, and as is always the case at DLF, these opinions may at times vary.  We see this as a good thing – we discourage group-think, and believe a balance of opinions and perspectives provides a more complete picture than a single, institutional voice.
