Editor’s Note: Happy Thanksgiving from all of us here at DLF. We hope you enjoy family, football and food all day today. Thanks most of all to you, our loyal followers who have been with us through thick and thin.

Since Thanksgiving is upon us, I decided to post something lighthearted and get the crew at DLF to answer one simple question: “In terms of fantasy football, what are you most thankful for this year?”  The answers varied across the board from the sappy to the ridiculous. We’d even like to open up the comments for you to put in your own responses at the end as well. Enjoy!

Adam Tzikas

I would say I’m most thankful for the dynasty community on Twitter. It’s awesome to be able to throw up a poll and get instant feedback and a look into what/who is trending. That and DeAndre Hopkins.

Jarrett Behar

I am thankful for the emergence of Devonta Freeman and that I didn’t sell him for pennies to the Tevin Coleman owner in the preseason.

Nick Whalen

I’m most thankful for the people in the fantasy industry – it really is a great group. From the support of the owners at DLF, to two of the nicest guys in the business in Scott Fish and Ryan McDowell, to my co-hosts George Kritikos, Paul Perdichizzi and Matt Caraccio, to all the people I interact with. It really feels like a big family and makes me feel blessed. I wish everyone a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.

Eric Burtzlaff

I’m most thankful for the wonderful supportive dynasty community. It’s really terrific to be a part of such a wonderful niche of fantasy football. Also, Stefon Diggs.

Trevor Bucher

Most thankful for:  Allen Robinson not busting.  I traded out of the 1.01 to get the 2.15/3.02 in a 16 team startup (AJG went 1.01) and the first player I actually took was ARob, who is scoring around the pace one would have expected from AJ Green.

[inlinead]I am thankful for all the fantasy owners willing to trade across all my leagues and around the world. My favorite part of fantasy football no matter the format is wheeling and dealing.  I am always willing to take calculated risks on players I believe in and would rather attempt and fail rather than not attempt at all. Mix it up, be creative and never stop the hustle.

Ryan Finley

I’m thankful that so many owners were down on Tom Brady in the off-season. We sometimes get a little too crazy when it comes to the age of players, and in Brady’s case I was able to get him for a song and rode him to a 9-2 record in one of my leagues – mostly because he’s approaching 40. The way he’s playing, I wonder if I’ll be thankful for Brady next year and beyond as well.

Mike Valverde

I am thankful for Devonta Freeman and the Turducken!

Ryan McDowell

I am thankful for depth on my dynasty rosters. In a year that has seen a rash of injuries and a handful of truly disappointing players, it is necessary for successful dynasty players to have an excess of depth on their rosters. I am lucky enough to have a couple of teams with said depth and those teams are doing well. Other leagues where I was relying on players like Arian Foster or Jordy Nelson with few options behind them, I am suffering the same fate as so many other dynasty players.

Jaron Foster

I’m thankful for active owners in my fantasy leagues who aren’t afraid to make trades

Chris Heil

I’m thankful for fantasy football leagues in general. There are friends you are close with, maybe we don’t talk all the time. Fantasy Football gives us an excuse to text each other and say did you see Drew Brees score 50 points this week or what do you think of this trade? It also gives me something else to talk about with family members / spouses. I have family members/friends/ co-workers talk to be about it daily and that is something that is a blessing.

Brian Malone

I’m grateful that after holding Danny Amendola for three years, I finally got one productive game from him.

Scott Fish

I am most thankful for owning a lot of handcuffs including Thomas Rawls and Buck Allen in many leagues.

Austan Kas

I’m just thankful to be able to play fantasy football. It’s such a fun and entertaining hobby, and the fantasy community is wonderful.

Carla Gruse

I am thankful that my state isn’t on the do not allow daily fantasy sports list yet.  Go Indiana!

Tyler Huggins

This is gonna sound completely corny but I don’t care. I love this game. I love the Sunday morning jitters, the Monday night sweat, I even love the Tuesday morning after a tough loss. But the thing(s) I’m most thankful for are the camaraderie and the friendships made. And I do mean friends–real friends, most of whom I would never have had the pleasure of meeting. We all know this is just a game, but to share a passion for competition amongst one another is my greatest takeaway.  Big shoutout to my EVW group. I’m proud to call you guys my brothers.  /sappy soliloquy

I’m very fortunate to be in multiple fantasy leagues with a great group of friends. We have been playing in the same leagues together for over ten years, and the competitive fire to beat one another has never dwindled. We have created a lot of great memories over the years, drafting, trading and arguing over fantasy football. I’m very thankful to have friends I can share my love of fantasy football with.

Nathan Miller

I am most thankful for….my healthy players. In a season where nearly every team has been hit significantly by the injury bug, I am thankful for my teams that avoided any major hits. I am also thankful that I held onto Devonta Freeman amidst concerns about his role, and that I bought a high amount of shares in Karlos Williams based on the unique spelling of his name. I am also thankful for Cam Newton and his success despite the lack of talent surrounding him in his offense. Thank you, fantasy football, for your blessings.

Jeff Haverlack

I’m thankful that an idea hatched a decade ago has actually materialized into what is has today in DLF.  That would not have been accomplished without the help of so many over the years here including not only my partners, but the content providers and others that have their hands in the proverbial pot so to speak.  Very thankful our incredibly supportive community.  I’m also very thankful for a wife and family that allow me to spend so much time doing what I love to do.  And I’m so thankful that I live in the greatest nation in the world such that these dreams can become a reality.  Happy Thanksgiving to all, I hope you all have multitudes of blessings to be thankful for.

…and finally

Ken Kelly

I’m thankful for everyone here at DLF who puts their valuable time into making this a great site. Writers, editors, programmers, forum mods, partners, Senior members, podcasters, you all have a special role and work hard to fill it. As we near our tenth anniversary, I can truly say we could have never done it without you. For that, I am truly grateful and truly blessed.
