Editor’s Note: This article is part of our Daily Content section in DLF. Daily leagues are growing in the fantasy community and we’ll cover them throughout the regular season. Remember, you can get a DLF Premium account free for a year (or your current subscription extended for a year) just by signing up with FanDuel and making an initial deposit. As the season progresses, some of us lose the best part of our fantasy football season – the draft. Well, thanks to daily fantasy football leagues, we are able to draft a team every week and test ourselves against thousands of other players. The drafts take minutes, the lineups are easy, and the prizes can be huge. Here at DLF, we will share with you some of the best free tournaments that have amazing prizes to the winner.

For those of you looking for advice on daily leagues, including those highlighted here, I urge you to check out the weekly series “Daily League Bargains” on DLF. It is a great resource for those of you looking for some sneaky additions to your daily lineups.

I will also choose one each week to participate in and share my experiences and urge each of you to do the same. Also, share any freeroll contests we may have missed!

Went with Sportstradex this week and I did not do so well. Let’s take a look at the lineup and some thoughts here:

  • freeroll1Quarterback sadness – I think taking multiple quarterbacks was the right move; I just picked a few that were bad. Drew Brees in particular was a massive disappointment against what has been a cupcake pass defense. No excuse here.
  • The “D” Squad – The pickings were slim at the D-level and TRich did not disappoint in that regard. I will need to study winning lineups to see how they constructed their teams.
  • The Hangover – After a monster week, DeAndre Hopkins failed to capitalize on a plus matchup. Even with Andre Johnson out for a portion of the game, Hopkins could not deliver.

Now, on to the freerolls for this week and a preview of my team that I will be “rolling” with in week 15.

FanDuel.com – $1,000 NFL Freeroll

As always, keep your eye out for a freeroll to release on Friday or Saturday morning. Overall, the contests have been very competitive (60,000 entry limit) with payouts to the top 500 lineups, but that can change weekly. It fills up really fast so jump in the contest quickly to test your skill.

Victiv.com – $1,500 NFL Freeroll

There is a freeroll contest on Victiv this week that has a $1,500 payout with the top ten finishers getting a free ticket to a $300,000 contest. They also do a second that starts with Thursday’s game so if you jump on that early enough, you can participate. As the season winds down, Victiv has been swapping out some cash prizes with big game entries like these so it’s potential for two freerolls in one.

Draftster.com – $500 NFL Freeroll

This week, Draftster has a $500 freeroll. The rules give some nice bonuses for 100 yard rushing/receiving and 300 yard passing games (+3) and have full PPR so you can pick players a bit less touchdown dependent here. It is open to the first 1,000 entries and pays out the top 500 players. The Thursday freeroll was not available this week but it may return so keep an eye out.

Draftkings.com – $10 NFL Freerolls

Draftkings has a few $10 freerolls for the NFL in addition to several more for college football. Given its popularity among cash players, this is a good way to dip your toes in the water if you are looking to gain experience.

FantasyAces.com – $10 NFL Freeroll

This week, Fantasy Aces is just doing their $10 freeroll with payouts to the top five only. They do employ two QBs so superflex fans have an easier transition to this format. They have some small freerolls in other sports as well if you are looking to diversify your portfolio.

Draftday.com – Various

Draftday still has a couple of freerolls they are doing weekly. The $1M perfect lineup contest continues and has smaller prizes for top finishers. There is also the 300 point target game where you are trying to get over the threshold. The pot is still floating at $1,500, so it is another chance at their season high pot.

Sportstradex.com – Variety

Sportstradex once again has a few “winner take all” NFL freerolls. They vary from the standard salary cap contest to the pick ‘em contests. They have some unique formats here as one is a draft based on tiers so I would check out one of these contests before trying to invest money here.

Statclash.com – $10 NFL Freeroll

Statclash tends to prefer smaller freeroll contests both in terms of prize money and entrant size. This week remains consistent as the smaller prize is limited to the first 250 entries. Scoring and lineups are pretty simple so this is an easy transition into daily for newcomers.

Fantasyscore.com

There are no freerolls on fantasyscore.com this week but they have a variety of smaller free entry leagues. This is one to continue watching as it is an evolving site.

freeroll2Reversefantasyfootball.com – Various

A newer site that has been profiled on DLF, they have a pair of freerolls to get introduced to their formats. One is an IDP freeroll, which is the first I have seen since this series began. The other is their more “traditional” reverse fantasy football style where you are getting bonuses for players performing poorly. This is a fun twist on traditional fantasy play and my choice for this week.

I have no idea what to expect here so I focused on a combination of matchups to find some cheaper options and part-time players for some low production. Since you get a zero if they have no yardage, using injured players does not help you. This is one that make take a few tries to learn the strategy.

Scorestreak.com – $180 NFL Freeroll

Scorestreak continues their year-long promotion of winning a Tesla and have extended their deadline for one more week. The $180 weekly freeroll is unlimited entries with the top 100 being paid out. The game is a little quirky as you pick nine players to hit key thresholds and get points for each one you attain.

Next week, we will highlight some of the freerolls for week 16 of the season and I will provide a recap of my performance as well!
