Depends on whether or not Murray comes back next week. Spiller looks like a good bet regardless.

Keep an eye on F.Jax as well. If he’s out, you surely want to start Spiller.

F-Jax is out, so it has to be Spiller.

IDP question for the CB spot:

Brandon Carr (vs CLE) or Brandon Flowers (vs CIN)?

Scoring is big-play heavy. Flowers has more INT (2:1) and PD (7:5) in 2 less games than Carr. However, Carr has a tasty matchup and is also playing some S snaps for the Cowboys.

A win next week could give me a firm grip on a first-round bye, so I wanna get it right 🙂

Love me some Stevie Styles against a terrible Fins secondary.

Reply to  Tim Stafford

Rice is on bye, so it’s really between Smitty and Stevie. I’ll disagree with Tim here and go with Smith, as the Bucs D has made stars out of Palmer and Rivers these past few weeks. Newton should have a good game.

Which NO RB should I roll with? Ivory, Ingram, or Thomas? Or I can bench all 3 and start Donald Brown or Scott Chandler. PPR

I have been riding the Scott Chandler wagon lately and it has been paying off. Ivory does look like a beast now …. but who knows in that offense which guy scores.

start Chandler over Finley at TE this week?

Reply to  ziggy19

Finley is getting by based off of name reputation alone. If he couldn’t produce when Jordy/Jennings were out, and Jordy’s likely back, I think I’d go Chandler against a poor Miami pass D.

Reply to  Matt Kornberg

Outside of the Doug Martin explosion, the Raiders have been playing pretty good run D. It’s just too tough to trust any of the Saints’ RB’s right now, although they seem to be making an effort to giving Ingram the ball.

Not sure which Linebackers to start:

We start two.
Scoring: 1pt per tackle (assisted or solo), 5 pt per sack, 5 pt per turn over

Colin McCarthy (bye)
DeQwell Jackson
Bruce Carter
Wesley Woodyard
Donald Butler

Need the two scenarios:

1. Fred Plays –> Need two of Fred Spiller Reggie Stewart
2. Fred Doesn’t Play –> Need one of Reggie or Stewart

I am leaning towards playing both my Buffalo guys if Fred plays. Reggie and Stewart are killing me! so help me choose if Fred doesn’t play.

Reply to  Josh Balaberda

Fred is out, so we’re looking at #2 here. I think I’d roll with Reggie against Buffalo. The Bills’ run D will cure what ails him.

Here are my options for next week non PPR
Need 1 QB Dalton @ KC, Rivers @ DEN, Foles @ WASH
Need 2 RB McGahee SD, Mathews @ DEN, Greene @ STL, Ingram @ OAK, Dwyer BAL
Need 3 WR DThomas SD, Bowe CIN, Hartline @ BUF, Boldin @ PIT, Danario @ DEN
Thanks Guys!

QB – The Red Rifle. Not ready to trust a rookie, or Rivers against a tough D.

RB – Trust the talent here, and go with McGahee and Mathews. Greene has crashed back to earth, and the other two are the definitions of time-shares.

WR – Dem. Thomas is un-benchable, so that’s one. I also like Hartline against the Bills’ D. The last spot is tougher, since Bowe could see Leon Hall, and Alexander could see Champ. Wait for news to filter out to see if either of those tough CB’s are expected to shadow a certain player.

TD Only League

My starting QB is Eli (Yech!) Manning. Back Up QB is Cutler

Manning is on bye week (Thank Goodness) But Cutler just got a concussion and
may not be playing. Not much available on the Waiver Wire Cambell replaces Cutler vs the 49’rs
Cassel vs Bengals, Skelton Vs Atlanta, If Alex Smith is out? maybe Kaeperick vs Chicago, and Blaine Gabbert vs Houston.

Amazing a bunch of terrible prospects all facing very Tough Defenses.

Nick Foles vs the Redskins appears to be an option I just discovered. I have only two transactions left for the season and if Vick plays, I would have to use the last one on another QB this week.,

What is the liklihood that Vick plays and are one of these other prospects better?

Reply to  clayton westphal

Looks like Vick is out, so I think I’d go Foles here. Washington’s secondary is one of the worst in the league, and the other options, as you mentioned, have rough matchups. I’d say it’s a toss-up between Foles and Skelton, and I’m leaning towards Foles.

AMorris, JCharles, RCobb, DMoore, MWallace, SJackson, JMaclin – start any 4

1 point per ten yards rushing and receiving plus distance scoring for TDs.

Reply to  Chad Benner

This is a tough one. I almost always lean towards RB’s because they’re generally guaranteed to touch the ball more, and this is no exception. Charles is a definite against the Bengals, and I also like S-Jax against a poor Jets run D.

You also HAVE to start stud skill players against the Saints, so Moore is in. I think your last choice comes down to Morris and Cobb, because Wallace and Maclin could have Leftwich and Foles as QB’s respectively. However, if Foles starts, I like the Redskins to play with a lead, so I think I’d lean Morris here.

When considering these types of choices, it would be good to know if you consider yourself to be the underdog or the favorite this week? If you’re the underdog, I’d say go big with Avery against the Pats. If you think you’re the favorite, maybe stay safe with Brown, if he plays.

I don’t like Gordon or Shorts against the tough Dallas and Houston defenses this week.

Charles just put 100 yards on the Steelers, so he’s in. Moore is against the Saints, so he’s in as well. I’d eliminate Wallace with Leftwich at QB, and the Falcons have been very good against WR1’s this year. If Haden is not shadowing Bryant, I think I go Bryant here.

Would you play Wallace this week with Big Ben out. Leftwich looked horrid. My Options to play over Mike Wallace would Be

1) D. Heyward-Bey
2) R. Fitzpatrick
3) P. Rivers
4) Joqui Bell
5) Dontario Alexandar

Would any of these guys be a better option?

What is your scoring system? I think I’d go Fitz here against a terrible Miami secondary, and would generally go QB over WR unless there is a huge point disparity.

This is my current Week 11 offensive lineup (please hold your laughter):

QB RG3
RB1 Forte
RB2 Gore
WR1 Miles Austin
WR2 Malcolm Floyd
WR3 M. Williams (Tampa)
TE Jimmy Graham
RB/WR/TE ???

I have to start a flex in a PPR league. My three contenders are currently Joique Bell, Heyward-Bey, and Brandon Lloyd. Little wrinkle, this is a big week and my opponent has the Brady/Gronk tandem playing against me. All season I’ve played Lloyd as a regular, but I am thinking about starting Heyward-Bey over him this week based on his recent success and the fact that any production I could hope for from Lloyd would be somewhat offset by Brady. Joique is mentioned as he is arguably my next best option after those two. Thoughts?

a. Heyward-Bey
b. Lloyd
c. Bell

Any input is much appreciated. Thanks gents!

Don’t every worry about your opponent. Brady will do what he does regardless of who you start. I think I’d still go Lloyd here, because the Colts are ragged against the pass. I like DHB, but he hasn’t done much this year (not that Lloyd has).

In a PPR league I am looking at the following: 1 QB in either Romo or Dalton. 2 RBs in either Forte, Martin or Spiller? 2 WRs but thinking of going with AJ Green and Wallace. If I do not play Wallace I need to make a pickup (Rice on a BYE) and unfortunately there is not much out there other then Shorts, Danario or Avery at best. A DEF in either CIN or PIT unless I pickup WAS. Which do you recommend?

Reply to  Vince B

I think Romo is turning the corner, so I’d go with him. I’d bench Forte against the 49ers, especially with Campbell at QB. I don’t like Wallace with Leftwich at QB, but there isn’t much on the waiver. Maybe just roll with 60 minutes here…

I’m definitely worried about Wallace with Leftwich starting, but I’m not sure I trust Jones yet. I think the Bills are going to feed Spiller a ton, and Jones is arguably 3rd in the pecking order behind Johnson and Chandler.

As for the trade, definitely hang onto Spiller…

TD Only League

Posted above, but still havn’t made a decision on QB
Eli on Bye, Back Up Cutler Out

Found out Foles was already on a roster so Skelton looked like the best bet. Now I am hearing rumors that maybe Kolb will be back.

But with Kaepernick a possible start vs Chicago, and Leftowich vs Baltimore (all These guys have terrible match-ups) maybe going with Leftowich might be the way to go. I could also wait until Monday and if Alex Smith is Out I could go with Kaepernick vs Chicago, and if Smith is played, I would still have Campbell as
an option. I cant pick someone up and decide later to go a different route because I only have two transactions left for the season.

Eric….just offered to me is RWhite for CJSpiller. I still have DMartin and MForte as my starters with AGreen, JBell and LSHowling as my backups. As for WRs: AJGreen and MWallace as my starters with SRice as a backup. Worth a shot or hold? I guess much hinges on Big Ben’s condition over the next several weeks. Can his backup get the ball to Wallace to push me into the Playoffs?/? Anyone’s guess I suppose.

Although no one asked for my opinion, I’d like to share it.

You never specified whether or not it was PPR or standard, but either way, you do NOT trade Spiller. Frankly, I’m not sure that Roddy gives you a better shot to win this year, either. White has averaged 1.7 more points per game than Spiller this year in PPR, and that is with CJ having basically missed 2 games playing injured.

I’ll put it this way. Despite the timeshare with Fred, he has outscored bellcow backs Ridley, Marshawn Lynch, Chris Johnson, Lesean Mccoy and Frank Gore, while averaging a ridiculous 8.07 yards per touch.

Sensei John Kreese

Corrections:

He has been less than 100 percent in almost 3 games, having been injured in the first quarter of the Cleveland game. Also, I neglected to mention how impressive it has been that he is where he is, while having only received a maximum of 15 carries. Gailey suggests that he may have 30 this week. If this holds true, would anyone be surprised to see a game where CJ totals 200 yards from scrimmage?

Vince B
Reply to  Sensei John Kreese

Many txs guys. And yes, this is a PPR league. With Forte and Martin slated to start for me I would guess that sitting Forte for Spiller would be my best option should I hold onto him. This is a Keeper league and we get to keep 2 players each season. My WRs are solid but since Big Ben went down it presents a sort of tough spot for Wallace, possibly. Leftowich can sling a long ball still so Wallace could carry his own along with my WR1 AJGreen. I also have SRice but on Bye of course. Plus I failed to mention JGraham, my Keeper along with Forte from last year. Big number producers to provide nice scoring balance.

Keepers for next season will be a tough decision for me…hence my other dilemma. If I had to decide right now I would go with Martin and (AJGreen or JGraham). Unless I go Martin and Spiller to start 2013?? I guess much depends on my Draft position too. But I agree…Spiller can explode tonight easily. There is not doubt that he will handle at least 25+ touches. I like Forte very much but Spiller will outplay him this week and makeup the difference should Wallace not pan out against the Ravens this weekend. Fingers crossed Martin has another solid combo game of course.

And in speaking with Eric about QBs…I have either Romo or Dalton. Both have favorable matchup’s, He recommends Romo and I can see why. Not sure Dalton will light it up again against KC this time like he did last week. The question is what DEF will present a tougher play for either QB???

Any recommendations are always appreciated fellas! Txs again.

Your keepers are AJ Green and Doug Martin.

If you can wait until before next season starts to decide which players you are going to keep, that might give you a better idea of things. If the Bills decide to release Fred Jackson, you may have a dilemma on your hands. If you have to decide at the end of the year, go AJ and Martin. Green is a no brainer.

I would go Romo as well. The Chiefs actually have a good pass defense, and the Bengals may be up big early, you might see a lot of BJGE in the second half. Really close though.
