2012 NFL Draft Chat – Live

Once again, DLF will be hosting a live chat tonight during the NFL draft!  We attempted to use our old chat function before moving it to the forum last night, but it was met with, well, how should we put it?  Total destruction of the site because of too much activity would be a good way.

We LOVED the interest, but yikes!  Looks like a server upgrade is coming for DLF…

Join us at 7:00 PM EST on Friday as we discuss the second and third rounds of the draft, along with the picks and fantasy prospects of those chosen. For premium subscribers, we’ll be continuing our LIVE pick-by-pick analysis as well.

Just go out to the DLF Forum and look at the top.  It’s open to one and all and we hope to have a good number in the room.  We’ll also be asking for questions from the group as the event unfolds that I’ll be turning into draft Q&A to follow.  Please remember that while in the room, to mind your language and references as we do like to keep our site PG rated … or at least PG-13.

If you have any questions, please let me know.  Hope to see you all there!

Another thing….It’s really not cool to be the person who is chatting with us at DLF, and also using twitter to telegraph picks. I want to hear the commissioner call the player’s names, not you.

No worries John…we’ll be adding our thoughts on the picks, but not breaking news.

During last year’s live draft blog, there was some knucklehead using twitter. Not a staff member at DLF. Apparently, you can see the pick on twitter before Goodell reads it. This person was reading the names off and spoiling it for some of us. Just sort of annoying.

Sorry, should have been clearer in my prior comment.

I hear on ESPN radio that the NFL is going to limit the info regarding team selections. No more cameras in green room catching players talking to GMs or coaches. No team-initiated tweets on selections. When Goodell speaks, it will be the first time we all know.

I actually like that. I’d prefer to be surprised and not have it tipped

Me too – wonder who the Colts are going to take!
