You know the deal by now. You ask. We answer.
So, all you have to do again this week is post your question at the bottom of this article.  We’ll give you our answers in real time so you don’t have to wait any longer than you have to. We again figured we’d get this out a little early this week considering we have a game on Thursday. We’ll do our best to answer any questions involving Colts or Titans players first. Hopefully we can get to a few of those before Thursday night’s game!
If you want advice outside of the DLF crew, go ahead and post your question in the DLF forum as well. The answers you’ll find here are intended to only be from the founders of this site, so that’s what you’ll mostly see.
Just make sure to indicate if your league is a PPR league, and if there are any other unique scoring requirements.
Here we go…

.5 ppr 14 team and I am 1 of 8 in playoffs starting this week. Need some advice on the following:
start 2 of these guys: BJax, Caddy,Manningham, Floyd, RoyWill, BTate – 1 must be wr-
start 1 TE: Moeaki, Hernandez, Fasano
start 1: Eli, Garrard
thanks in advance
I’d go with Manningham and Floyd. No sense rolling the dice there.
I like Moeaki and Garrard as well.
12 team ppr league
Flex RB/WR: LaDainian Tomlinson at home vs MIA or
Tashard Choice at home vs PHI
Flex WR/TE: James Jones in a Dome vs DET or
Marcedes Lewis at home vs OAK
Choice and Lewis for me. LT is really slowing down.
12 tm league, standard scoring, non ppr, 6 pts per passing TD.
I need 2: Wallace, Djax, Tolbert
I need 1: Orton or Schaub?
Thanks!
Matt
Tough calls there. I’d go with Jackson and Tolbert, along with Orton against the Cardinals.
More of a dynasty strategy question than line-up advice as I’m finishing out a rebuilding year. My biggest needs are still at RB and potentially TE.
Right now I have the following RB’s on my roster for development: Frank Gore (IR), Mike Hart, Danny Ware, Tashard Choice, James Davis, Darren Sproles, Isaac Redman, Maurice Morris. (What can I say it’s a deep league with 27 roster spots)
My TE’s: Zack Miller (OAK), Kellen Winslow, Joel Dreessen
– So my quandary is, without worrying about playoff implications (obviously), which of the following players should I target over my existing roster stashes?
RB: Javarris James, Jackie Battle, Tyrell Sutton, Lance Ball, Dimitri Nance, Jerious Norwood on IR, Lex Hillard (MIA), Kory Sheets on IR(MIA), Stafon Johnson on IR (TEN) (these are available players on my watch list)
TE: Ed Dickson
Just an interesting comparison of super deep prospects. Let me know if you have any thoughts.
Oh, standard dynasty league scoring system by the way.
I think Ball and Dickson are worthy of stashing. Ball is getting a little opportunity at least to show what he’s worth. Heap has been productive, but I think he will begin declining soon and it will be a quick decent.
I like Ball over Dreessen long term. I think Sheets and Hilliard can also both be left off. I’d look at Ball and Dickson and get rid of Morris towards the end of the year.
Thanx,
I’ve been watching Sutton since he was drafted. Don’t you think the way Carolina has been holding onto him, despite trade offers is saying something? Or does Goodson have better upside?
PPR
Danario Alexander or Brandon Marshall
Orton or Cutler
Marshall and Orton if Marshall is healthy.
PPR
Ben Watson or Ed Dickson?
After last week? I’d go with Watson for sure.
real quick question here
in in a 12 team ppr dynasty league, and jacoby jones and kieland williams are available…are either worth picking up and holding onto?
Is your brother named Neil?
It all depends on who you’d drop. They’re both pretty worthy prospects, but if you have a shallow roster size, they may still be waiver fodder. I need a little more info to be totally accurate in this assessment. Let me know and we’ll take it from there!
Celek, Keller or Graham?
Ochocinco or Crabtree?
Thanks
I like Keller and Crabtree this week…
12 Team PPR
Which 2 RBS should I start?
Forte (NE)
Mendenhall (CIN)
McFadden (JAC)
Also which 2 should I start
Steve Smith (NYG)(MIN)
Manningham (MIN)
Rice (NYG)
Gaffany (ARI)
Let’s go with Mendy and McFadden this week. I also like Manningham over Smith and Rice for sure.
Unfortunately I lost by 2 points last minute and went from a Bye to having to play. I’d really like the win if only for the chance at a rematch next week
0.5 PPR
QB: Freeman or Bradford (Thinking Freeman)
WR: Maclin, Lloyd, Colston, Meachem (Been using Maclin and Lloyd but need maximum production and its hard to know who will hit, feeling maybe Maclin and Colston)
RB: Hillis, MJD, Bush (Pretty set on Hillis and MJD)
K: Bironas or Suisham (essentially which team is weak enough to warrant FGs but stronger enough to get in the position to need them)
Thanks for your help this season, the sites great. I make sure to click a few links when I visit
QB: Freeman
WR: I’d go Lloyd and Colston
RB: Hillis and MJD
K: Suisham …. Bironas has been non-existent lately
Which flex option would you choose for ppr league?
Law Firm, Driver, S. Smith(Car), Obomanu, S. Moss
Thanks
BGE. The Pats are on fire and he’s scoring.
I play a 2 WR set and I’m torn between Crabtree, Knox, Johnson, and the risk-reward player of the week Kenny Britt.
-D
Well, hopefully you didn’t go with Britt there. I’d go with Crabtree as long as “Johnson” isn’t Andre Johnson or Calvin Johnson.
Alright, thanks to your advice, I have two byes and I need to win this week (and hope a buddy of mine loses) to make the playoffs in my third league!
I have two questions:
Start 3 WR: I have Boldin AT Houston, Mike Williams AT Washington, Gafney AT Arizona, Jacoby Ford AT JacksonVille, Britt (Tonight)coming off injury at home against Indy and a possible Nicks at Minnesota. Which three do you start? I guess 2 scenarios, because I play nicks if he plays, right?? If he doesn’t who do I go with?
The second is a defense question. Do I start Atlanta AT Carolina Or Baltimore AT Houston?
Thank you very much.
BY THE WAY, It is a redraft, standard scoring 6 points per td, NON-PPR. Thanks.
Nicks, Boldin and Williams for sure.
I’d go with Atlanta. The Panthers are one dimensional, if that.
Hey Ken, I’m always getting good advice from you and have a playoff matchup this week with a couple of decisions to make.
League is no ppr and scores 1pt/5yds, 5pt bonus at 100yds and 6pt/td. I need 2 WRs and a flex from this group:
Bowe @ SD
Williams @ Was
Crabtree v Sea
Moss v TB
Brown @ NYJ
Wells v Den
Bush v Stl
I figured Bowe was automatic even with last week’s shut out but that’s a tough matchup. What if Cassel doesn’t play?
Thanks again.
Glad to know we’re helping!
Mike Williams (the WAS secondary isn’t that good)
Crabtree
Bowe (even with Croyle)
Stevie Johnson or Steve Smith giants. Smith is a go to play but how much will they target him?
Johnson for sure. I like Smith a lot in a PPR, but NOBODY knows (maybe even the Giants) how much he’ll play for sure.
Scoring system for WR
1pt/10yds, .5/rec, 8pts/TD
Need 2 Receivers for this week. TE are WR in our leauge.
A. Gates
M. Wallace
M. Williams
B. Lloyd
Thanks for the help
Gates and Lloyd in a bounce back for me…
Who do I start at my #2 WR?
Anquan Boldin is my #1.
Pierre Garcon @ Tennessee
Donald Driver @ Detroit
Sidney Rice vs NY Giants
Thanks.
Hopefully you went with Garcon, but I think Rice is an easy other choice.
Pick 3 wr for non-ppr out of:
R. Wayne, M. Williams(Bucs), James Jones, R. Moss and Eddie Royal
thanks guys
I also own Woodhead and could you let me know which 3 you would go with if Mike Williams ends up inactive as well. Thanks.
I’d rank them as follows:
Wayne (not too bad of a game Thurs)
M Williams
Woodhead
J Jones
Royal
Moss (he’s almost unrosterable in a redraft now)
Do i actually dare to throw Britt in tonight over Crabtree??
Also, who do you like Orton or Cutler this weekend.
well actually Crabtree or Driver.
I’m debating who to flex. Driver, Britt, Wells or Knox
Hopefully you didn’t go with Britt. Crabtree is the best choice there. I also like Orton much better based on his matchup this week.
Really need a win bad this week to get into finals.
Here is the issue: Start Kitna or Freeman?
I’d go with Freeman. The Cowboys are relying on the run a lot and are likely to keep doing that to see what they have in Choice now that Dez is out for the season.
.5 PPR 12 team dynasty. Thanks guys!
1) Pick one: Eli Manning or Matt Ryan?
2) Pick one: Ahmad Bradshaw, LeGarrett Blount or Jstew?
3) Pick one: Ray Rice or Steven Jackson?
I’ll take Ryan against Carolina. Bradshaw and Rice for the others.
So went 4 for 4 in regards to the playoffs however only managed one bye. The injury bug has been killing me as of late so that leaves me with some less than stellar options. HELP!
League #1 PPR
Need to start one: Mike Tolbert, Earl Bennett or Hakeem Nicks.
Nicks would obviously be the obvious choice however if he does play are they really going to let him play the whole game? Where I see kind of a shoot out happening in Chicago and Bennett has really come on as of late.
Nicks has to be the choice. You just have to assume they wouldn’t throw him in if he wasn’t close to 100%.
.5 ppr also
Orton or Cutler(weather?)
Flex: Blount , Tolbert, Starks, Best, Nicks
Orton for sure. I’d rank the flex as follows:
Nicks
Blount
Tolbert
Starks
Best
League #2 PPR- I for the life of me can’t figure this one out, it is a mess!
Pick 3- Jonathan Stewart, Marshawn Lynch, Johnny Knox, Michael Crabtree and Mike Williams (TB)
Williams, Crabtree, and Stewart for me.
League #3- NON PPR- Calvin and Lloyd would seem to be locks but also have a ton of question marks for this week. Just want to get your input..
Need 3- Calvin Johnson, Brandon Lloyd, Hakeem Nicks, Sidney Rice, Michael Crabtree and Johnny Knox
Nicks if he plays, Rice if he doesn’t. Pretty straight forward there for me.
I need 2 RB’s, 3 WR’s and a flex (ppr)
Hillis, Charles, Ivory, Blount or Choice
Boldin, S Rice, Ford, Royal, Obomanu or T Gonzo
Hillis and Charles at RB
Boldin, Rice, and Obomanu if Williams is out, Gonzo if he’s in
Flex: Ivory
1/2 PPR
pick 1: Fred Jackson, Lynch, Choice, or JStew
Pick 1: Driver, Danario Alexander, Kenny Britt (ugly I know)…
Thanks for your input!!!
Boy, I’d still go with F Jackson at RB. The receiver I’d pick would be Driver if you didn’t use Britt.
I need two RB’s and 2 WR’s and a flex from this group…
RB’s Choice, Jacobs, Starks, J. James, Brown, Woodhead
WR’s Mason, Ward, Thomas, Nicks (healthy?)
Thanks!
So, the five I’d take woudl be Choice, Jacobs, Nicks, Mason, and Starks.
Injury plagued team down to Boldin and one of D Alexander Amendola or Jenkins (opposition is playing Ryan) .. Nate Washington is available on waivers .
It’s a TD only league . Playing to stay out of last place as the last place finisher has to cater the 2011 draft .
In a TD only league, I’d roll the dice with Alexander.
Recivers aND D.
Oakland
Titans
Or Cowboys
Recivers
Burleson
S Rice
D Alexander.
Thanks
Oakland
..and I’d rank your WRs as Rice, Burleson, and Alexander
Standard scoring, 6 pts. per td, no ppr….
Would you start H. Ward vs Cinn or J.Knox vs. NE (my concern here is the weather)?
I’d be just as concerned about the Pats than the weather. I’d go with Ward, even though his targets are down.
Non PPr, need to play 3 WRs; which ones?:
Jennings – GB
Wallace – Pitts
Williams – TB
Austin – Dallas
My other two are Williams (Sea) and Washington (Tenn) bu they are at the bottom of my list to start
Tough call. I’d hold out Wallace of those four.
12 Team
Jay Cutler (NE)
Big Ben (CIN)
Big Ben for sure!
Non PPR
RB: Pick 2
Hillis @ BUF
Mendy v. CIN
Rice @ HOU
WR: Pick 3
Crabtree v. SEA
85 @ PIT
Sid Rice v. NYG
M. Williams (TB) @ WAS
Hillis and Rice at RB
I’d “86” 85 at WR
Do you think Javid Best is going to have a good game this week? I have Best, Starks, Goodson, both Bushes & Cadillac. It’s a PPR. Thanks for your opinion!
Sorry, I forgot to say that I need two RB’s out of the above list.
Best can’t be trusted yet. He looked healthier last week, but he’s not going to be 100% all season.
I’d go with Starks and Goodson. Caddy and the Bushes are tough to guess with. Goodson could be, too, but he should still get 10-12 touches.
Thanks for such a great site… I have been following your site since I found it in the Spring (and have been clicking the ads)… Need a win this week to make the playoffs and some matchups are driving me crazy, so looking for some advice…
Dynasty, Non-PPR, Standard scoring with 2 pt bonus for TD’s of 40+
Pick 2 RB’s: Arian Foster, Michael Turner, MJD
Pick 2 WR’s: Dwayne Bowe, Miles Austin, Wes Welker, Johnny Knox, Braylon Edwards, Roy Williams, Lee Evans
Thanks for all the great work you guys do!
Thanks for everything Coach! You keep us floating. Our goal is to break even (not counting our own time) right now.
Foster and Turner for me at RB
Bowe and Austin at WR. QB issues for both, but they’re both good options. I’d go Welker in a PPR, but stick with these two in a non-PPR, especially since Austin doesn’t have to battle Dez for targets.
I need advice for week one of my playoff. Standard format league, non-PPR.
I need to start two RB’s…
ADP vs. NYG (questionable with injury)
Mendenhall vs. CIN (been a bit cold)
Moreno @ ARI (been hot and going against a bad rush defense
Also, I need help with my WR situation…I can start three of these guys…
B. Lloyd @ ARI (Does it affect him if I start Moreno too? What are the odds they both do well?)
A. Boldin @ HOU (Houston’s pass defense is awful)
A. Johnson vs. BAL (Questionable with injury)
R. White @ CAR (Questionable with injury)
D. Bowe @ SD (Tough pass defense, and Cassel may be out or recovering from his appendectomy)
Thanks!
ADP isn’t really THAT questionable. I think you’ll be going with ADP and I actually like Moreno better than Mendy this week, too.
I’d go with Bowe, White, and A Johnson if they all play.
10 man league, non-ppr, 1 pt every 10 rush/receiving
Pick 2:
Run-DMC
Hillis
The Law Firm
Moreno
Pick 2 (I’m considering Megatron a lock to start as my 3rd):
Mike Williams TB
Roy Williams
Lance Moore
Deion Branch
Mike Thomas
I win, I’m in. I lose, I could be out!
As of right now, I’m going with Hillis/Moreno and Megatron;M Williams/Branch
I like your thinking, though BGE is enticing.
PPR
Roy Williams or Danario Alexander
Yikes. Good question. I’d go with Roy Williams. He’s the safer option and less likely to give you nothing.
PPR LEAGUE … running 3 WRs
Calvin Johnson, Malcom Floyd…. then it gets foggy.
need one more
Obomanu – cut hand, sitting out ? a Late game , lineups due 11:30 am
Earl Bennett.. running Cutler- could take the ‘double up’ , but bad weather predicted, too much of a gamble to play 2 in that game?
Steve Smith NYG ( a decoy this week?)
Mario Manningham – Get the looks this week? or Nicks going to play?
I’d go with Manningham. He’s the healthiest of the NYG WRs.
12 team PPR league. Please help fill in the following positions:
QB: Brees
RB1: LeSean McCoy
RB2: ???
WR1: Andre Johnson
WR2: Steve Johnson
WR3: ???
TE1: Vernon Davis
RB/WR/TE FLex: ???
DST: Chargers or Eagles??
Here’s the players that I can fill in for the question mark positions:
RBs: Fred Jackson, Thomas Jones, Danny Woodhead, Keiland Williams, Pierre Thomas
WRs: Earl Bennett, Donald Driver, James Jones, Derek Mason, Jacoby Ford, Golden Tate, Derek Hagan
TEs: Tony Gonzalez, Ed Dickson
****I’m leaning towards FJax as my RB2, Bennett as my WR3, and not sure for the flex, either Thomas Jones, Driver, Mason, or Gonzalez.
RB2: Fred Jackson
WR3: I’d actually go with Mason
Flex: Thomas Jones
Good luck!
Man, you can cut the tension in the air with a knife! I love the playoffs! Thanks for the help in advance gentleman, here’s my question.
Who to start between Marshall or H. Ward?
Two disappointments this year for sure. I’d go with Marshall if he plays because he’s guaranteed to have some targets.
Always love your advice, and I feel like I’m getting the yips this week:
WR: Miles Austin or Mike Williams (TB)?
TE: Jermain Gresham or Jimmy Graham?
K: Dan Carpenter or Graham Gano?
DEF/SPT: Jets or Packers?
Thanks!
I’d go with Austin in a close call. I like Gresham better than Graham for now, and I’d go with Carpenter and the Packers.
Tough calls this week!
Standard scoring
Need 2 of the following
Manningham, Crabtree, V. Davis
With Nicks and Smith returning, not sure of Manningham’s value
Well, Manningham is still the most healthy of their WRs. Smith and Nicks may not play a full compliment of snaps. I’d go with Crabtree and Manningham.
Non ppr
Need to choose one.
Rb
Ryan Matthews
James Starks
Tashard Choice
Leaning towards Starks with the Lions.
Thanks guys, enjoy the site.
Call me crazy, but I’m going with Choice this week. It seems the Cowboys really want to see what they have in him…again.
Hi Guys!
A few wild card games this week….
I have Vick going at QB.
I need 2 RBs: Mendenhall, Bradshaw, J. Stewart, Choice, and Chris Wells. Playing Mendenhall and I’m leaning towards Stewart – what do you thing?
Thanks
I’d actually go with Mendenhall and Bradshaw
Another One. Vick going, plus RBs are Jamaal Charles and Turner. I’ve alreadys played Garcon at WR and need 2 more from Boldin, Hakeem Nicks, Amendola, Earl Bennett. I like to play Boldin and Nicks, but am concerned about Nick’s health. Also, at TE Dickson or Olsen?
Thanks
You did well with Garcon. I’d go with Nicks and Boldin, then take Olsen at TE.
PPR League
pick 1 flex
Davone Bess
Michael Bush
In a PPR, Davone Bess is an easy choice for me.
0.5 ppr, pick one for my flex spot.
LT vs. Miami
Greene vs. Miami
Crabtree vs. Seattle
Benson vs. Steelers
I have been debating this starting spot all week long, and I am still torn. Make this easy for my Ken and Jeff! Thanks guys.
LT and Greene have combined for a grand total of 0 touchdowns since week six. ZERO combined!
I’d go with Crabtree in a 0.5 ppr. Having Alex back helps his numbers. The Bengals should be playing from behind and abandon the run pretty quickly against PIT.
Good luck!
0,5 pt/rec
1. Pick one: Sidney Rice, Hakeem Nicks or Mike Williams (TB)
2. Pick one: Eddie Royal, James Jones, Dexter McCluster, Lance Moore
3. Pick one (flex): Anthony Armstrong, Deion Branch, Hakeem Nicks, Michael Bush
4. Pick three WRs: Anthony Armstrong, Mario Manningham, Santana Moss, Mike Williams (SEA)
Thanks
I’d take Nicks if he seems healthy enough, if not, I’d take M Williams
I’d take Lance Moore in the second group.
I’d go with Nicks, then Branch in the third
In the fourth, I’d take out Armstrong if Williams plays (doubtful)
