Instant Analysis: Buffalo gets Banged Up

The Bills backfield had a rough preseason opener.

Fred Jackson left the game early with hand and ankle injuries. It sounds like the ankle issue is likely just a sprain, but the hand injury seems to be pretty serious. Early word is that Jackson will miss the rest of the preseason and is highly questionable for the season opener.

To make matter worse, Marshawn Lynch also hurt his ankle in his limited action. At this point, there’s no news on the severity of the injury.

These injuries may not seem that significant, but they’re going to change some things in dynasty leagues.

First, CJ Spiller is going to get increased practice team with the first unit and could make a push to pass Jackson on the depth chart. He was already making up ground pretty quickly.

The Fred Jackson injury should also quiet any Marshawn Lynch trade rumors that were floating around. It would be highly unlikely the Bills decide to move him now that their No. 1 running back is on the shelf.

Spiller should be moved up the redraft boards a little and dynasty league owners who took him in rookie drafts could see him produce a little sooner than expected as well.

No matter what becomes of all these injuries, Buffalo looked like garbage. This team needs a QB to enable their offense to fully utilize their talented playmakers they do have. I can see them getting a QB in next years draft, as I think they will have a top 5 pick, perhaps even the #1.

I wish I could disagree with you Bigcsr… but I can’t. I didn’t even see the game. Hopefully the Bills get lucky in the Locker/Mallett sweepstakes next year.

I intended to draft you one very little word to thank you so much once again for those striking information you’ve provided here. This is quite strangely open-handed with you to make unreservedly what most people would have advertised for an electronic book to get some dough for themselves, primarily since you might have done it in the event you desired. These things in addition acted like a easy way to fully grasp the rest have the identical fervor like my own to figure out very much more when considering this matter. I think there are thousands of more enjoyable periods ahead for many who see your site.
