Michael Bennett News

  • Will Levis on the rise? · Apr 9, 2024

Titans quarterback Will Levis could be positioned for more success this season.

This story is kind of from the land of the obvious but Levis really should be in a better spot going into next season. With Calvin Ridley and DeAndre Hopkins at receiver and Tony Pollard being signed to replace Derrick Henry, the Titans didn't exactly punt on helping him over the last month. Levis was electric in his first game action but turned into a glorified game manager the rest of the way. He's on the hot seat this year in Tennessee, though it would be a surprise to see them take a successor in the draft this year. Levis remains a hold in dynasty leagues.

  • Malik Nabers the WR1? · Mar 30, 2024

After an impressive Pro Day, some scouts believe Malik Nabers is the top receiver in this year's class.

Nabers' athleticism was on full display at the LSU Pro Day as he posted a 4.35 40-yard dash to go along with a 42-inch vertical leap. He was also more than impressive in each of the drills he participated in. It seems Nabers may be bridging the gap between his stock and that of Marvin Harrison Jr.'s, who chose not to work out publicly at all this off-season. While it's still hard to see Nabers really being taken ahead of Harrison, it clearly shows he's truly an elite-level prospect.

  • Louis Rees-Zammit signs with Chiefs · Mar 28, 2024

The Chiefs have signed rugby star Louis Rees-Zammit

Well, this is fun. Rees-Zammit is a rugby star who is trying to carve out a role on an NFL team as a running back or wide receiver. He had visits with the Browns, Jets, Broncos, and Chiefs recently and Green Bay was reportedly hot on his trail as well. There's very little known about his true ability but being on the Chiefs offense and knowing how creative Andy Reid is will put him on the radar. Rees-Zammit could be a fun final pick in a rookie draft this Spring.

  • Malik Washington on the radar · Mar 3, 2024

Virginia wide receiver Malik Washington has likely put himself on the dynasty rookie radar following his stellar NFL Draft Combine performance.

Washington was a bit of an afterthought going into the weekend but really made his mark in Indianapolis. He led all receivers in the class with a 42.5-inch vertical jump, posted a 4.47 in the 40, and had 10-6 broad jump to cap off his drills. He also showed fluid hands and route running ability. After a 110/1,426/9 season and this combine, he's clearly reached sleeper status.

  • Ladd McConkey compared to Puka Nacua · Mar 3, 2024

Georgia wide receiver Ladd McConkey drew comparisons to Puka Nacua following his dominant NFL Scouting Combine performance.

Let the fluff pieces begin! McConkey ran a 4.39 40 and was borderline electric in just about every drill, boosting his draft stock in the process. ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit was the one who compared McConkey to Nacua and that has to be taken with a huge grain of salt. Still, McConkey is moving up draft boards and is a player to watch in the early rounds of the upcoming NFL Draft.

  • Trey Benson impresses · Mar 3, 2024

Florida State running back Trey Benson had an overall positive NFL Scouting Combine performace.

Benson ran a solid 4.39 40 and was reportedly very impressive in positional drills. This comes as little surprise as those who have studied Benson have likely come away pretty impressed. In a year where there is no dominant running back prospect, Benson could very well be the first one taken off the board when it comes to the NFL Draft. Texas running back Jonathon Brooks surprisingly chose not to participate in the combine and Benson likely took advantage here. While there are lots of evaluations to do, Benson looks the part of a solid prospect who should be in the mix with the elite receivers in round one of rookie drafts.

  • Audric Estime the slowest running back · Mar 3, 2024

Notre Dame running back Audric Estime recorded a 4.71 40 time at this year's NFL Draft Scouting Combine.

Yikes. While Estime's game is far from predicated on his long or short speed, this is notable as it's dreadfully slow by NFL standards. On the plus side, this year's draft is very thin at running back so it may not hurt him as much as it would in other years. Still, this could very well prove Estime's projection of being a short-yardage back or early down plodder is going to ring true. While this isn't a death knell by any stretch of the imagination, Estime is likely going to drop down some draft boards for NFL teams and dynasty managers alike.

  • Keon Coleman posts disappointing 40 · Mar 3, 2024

Florida State wide receiver Keon Coleman ran a 4.61 40 at this year's NFL Draft Scouting Combine.

The 40 time is likely going to be overblown as Coleman has proven to be a solid prospect. However, it could allow a few other receivers to leapfrog him when all is said and done. Regardless, Coleman looks like a solid prospect with good height and production to match. Coleman won't be a burner in the NFL but this hardly means he won't be productive. He should be a late first round or early second round pick in the NFL Draft and will be in consideration early in rookie formats this Spring.

  • Rome Odunze solidifies draft stock · Mar 3, 2024

Rome Odunze was impressive at this weekend's NFL Draft Combine, likely solidifying his spot as a top ten pick in this year's NFL Draft.

At 6-3 and 212 pounds, Odunze posted a 4.45-second 40, a 39-inch vertical and a 10-4 broad jump. He was also reportedly wowing scouts all day long with his performance in individual drills, Odunze was a monster this season at Washington, posting a 92/1,640/13 line and looking like one of the Nation's best players all season long. He's very much in play for the top ten in the NFL Draft and should be in position to be the second receiver taken in dynasty drafts behind Marvin Harrison, Jr. starting next month.

  • Jaylen Wright moving up · Mar 3, 2024

Tennessee running back Jaylen Wright had a solid performance at this year's NFL Draft Combine.

Wright posted an 11-2 in the broad jump and 38 inches in the vertical leap before posted a blistering 4.38 in the 40-yard dash. After leading the Nation in yards per carry, Wright proved his tape was no fluke as his athleticism was on full display over the weekend. While there's a lot of questions in regards to his size, Wright seems like a true home run hitter. His landing spot is going to be very interesting to watch and also likely a round or two higher after his combine display.
