Fantasy Football Links

We weed out the crap so you don't have to

Any good coach knows he can't win it all by himself. You need a stable of strong advisors to give you the best advice. We here at DLF recognize this and have scoured the globe looking for the best fantasy football resources available.

These sites were selected for their excellent fantasy football news, tools and content. None of these sites have paid us a dime to be listed. We are providing links to them because we feel they represent some of the the best FFB resources in the industry.

News & Analysis Sites

FootballGuys (some free)
One of the biggest pure fantasy football sites around. They have quality information which tends to be very statistically-driven. Many good writers and some great tools as well. So much weekly in-season content that it's almost overwhelming. They have a great news ticker and some basic content for free, but require a subscription for premium content.

ESPN (mostly subscription)
Very little free stuff, mostly subscription content. Good articles, polished writing. Hey, it's freaking ESPN - you're probably already reading it.

Fox Sports (mostly free)
Personally I like Fox a little better than ESPN. Layout is better. Great articles. Oh, and best of all, most of it is free. Good times. Check them out!

The Sporting News (some free)
Yet another large site with a ton of info. More free stuff than ESPN, less than Fox Sports. They also require a subscription for premium content, but some content is available for free.

Fantasy Football Today (mostly free)
Good articles, rankings and projections. If you sign up (free) you can customize your scoring so that the projections are specific to your scoring system. Pretty cool. They do also offer a couple extras for a fee, but all the important stuff is free, so that's why it's listed here.

FanBall (some free)
A large, professional site with a definite fantasy focus. They also have a very good free news ticker and some good writers and articles. Most content does require a subscription.

KFFL (some free)
A well-established site with several very good customizable tools and resources. Good articles, in-season rankings, and nice IDP coverage. They also offer a free news ticker.

Pigskin Addiction (free)
You wont find a more entertaining fantasy football site around. In-season game analysis is hilarious. I wouldn't necessarily hang the fate of your team on their info, but they are definitely worth checking out for a very entertaining and enlightening read.

Dynasty-Friendly League Commissioner Services

My Fantasy League ($)
Probably the most established and frequently-used fantasy league service. Extremely customizable interface and league options. Flexible scoring and draft options. A very good value.

ESPN (Free / $$)
They offer both free and pay leagues. Nice interface, lots of customizable features. They have had some issues each year early on, but their service improves every year. Pay leagues offer live scoring, a great league smack/chat room, and other nice extras.

CBS Sportsline ($$)
The most expensive of the services. They offer a solid, stable service with a very polished, though somewhat crowded interface. Great league configuration options including trading of draft picks, keeper selections and more. Overall an excellent service, but a bit spendy.

Site Directory / Portal Sites

Fantasy Football Bookmarks (free)
One of the oldest fantasy football sites around, all they do is link to sites. Lots of them. They don't weed out the crap like we do, but they do have a user review and rating system which identifies the good stuff and tends to push down the crap. If you get a chance, give 'em a rating for DLF.

Fantasy Football Daily Planner (free)
The site design gives me seizures, but they do a very good job of collecting current articles focused on fantasy football content. Very busy during the season as they update their links throughout day.

Rookie & Draft Analysis Sites

Football's Future (free)
Providing solid, in-depth NFL Rookie Draft analysis, this is one of the best free news sites you'll find. Good evaluation of up and coming talent - a perfect tool for the serious dynasty league coach.

OurLads.com (some free)
Excellent, completely free NFL draft analysis site. Very intensely focused on the draft and free agent prospects. Good off-season content and analysis. Another great site for the dynasty coach.

NFL Draft Guys (free)
Run by many of the same guys as Football Guys, this site provides quality analysis of rookie prospects. Also some useful rankings and tools. Well worth checking out.

Other Football Services

AntSports.com (free)
Mock drafts are a valuable method for determining possible draft position of players. Extremely useful for the initial year of a dynasty league, less so for an established dynasty league coach. But if you are in a keeper league or just want to fix your draft jones, AntSports is the most recognized mock draft site on the net. The site is pretty dated, but remains a worthy resource.

logoneeds.com (free)
A forum where you can request custom logos or search through an archive of previously created logos. Very useful, completely free.

Goal Line Blitz (free)
A free MMORPG where you can create players who play in games, see then increase in levels, acquire skills and equipment, etc. You can also purchase and manage a team. Fun, free, and a great way to pass the time in the offseason.
