I’ve been a hard-core NFL fan since the glory days of the Dallas Cowboys in the 70s.  I’m hooked on FFB and and have been since playing in a league with Ken Moody (DLF Co-founder) on the old Sandbox website.  I started on the path to FFB in the 70s when I used to come up with fantasy stat based games using dice for both baseball and football,  and would sit around endlessly playing out the games and seasons, recording the stats and tracking my favorite players.  That migrated to gaming consoles where I would play baseball and football games on manager mode (still prefer it that way). It was only when fellow DLF co-owners Ken Kelly and Ken Moody and I hatched a plan for DLF that made me believe that we create our own virtual fantasy (cyber) space and perhaps unite like-minded fantasy football junkies…  and we are doing just that!  It just so happens that I’ve been told that I write too much…  so writing for a FFB website makes far too much sense.

Trying to find time for all of my passions has been a challenge but I make sure I find enough for the big 3:  1) Family  2) Career 3)  FFB.  Sometimes even in that order.

I honestly can’t remember a time when I wasn’t following sports.  As a kid, I’d comb through our daily paper’s stats and standings of our major sports after school.  I always loved the math involved in statistical analysis and found myself doing my own fantasy trades and mock drafts for the major sports, long before mock drafts were popular.  I’d also be first in line for the newest sports video games, to bring them home and make all the trades I’d think a GM would make.

I’ve always had a passion for writing and the arts as well.  In high school, I’d find myself writing imaginative short stories and loved being in an improv group when I wasn’t playing on my school sports teams.

I never really thought my two interests of writing and sports would collide until I began playing fantasy football over ten years ago.  I created my first dynasty league a few years later and, together with Jeff Haverlack and Ken Moody, started this site a couple years after that. I’ve found a niche where my creative juices and love of fantasy football can be truly tapped.

On a personal note, I’m married and have three young children all under the age of five.  As an active husband, father of three, full-time corporate trainer at a credit union, and co-owner of DLF, you could say I keep myself pretty busy.

I’ve been playing FFB since the mid 90’s.  Before that, I played football simulation and other sports games, starting back in the late 80’s.  Fantasy football is a great hobby, a total blast to play as we all know. But ya gotta keep it in perspective.  It is just a game based on a game, and there is so much in the world that is more important.  So don’t take the losses too hard, or the victories too seriously.  Just enjoy the ride, and have a great season!

My friends all give me a hard time about the phases of hobbies I’ve gone through, from Texas Holdem to foosball and everything in between.  None of them have held my attention quite like fantasy football.
While others were playing the latest version of Madden growing up, I was simulating the games to get to the roster management aspects of the offseason.  I guess you could say I’d make a better general manager than I would a player.  The second I was introduced to fantasy football, the rest was history.  I’ve found the only thing better than fantasy football is dynasty league football.
When I’m not proposing trades and putting in waiver claims, I can be found chasing around an energetic 4 year-old boy, thinking of ways to keep boys away from my beautiful 10 year-old girl, and spending time with my high school sweetheart.  Between family, fantasy football, the day job, and finishing up an education degree, I stay pretty busy.

I’ve been playing fantasy football since 1994 and am just as passionate about the game as I ever was. I enjoy all types of leagues such as redraft and keeper but dynasty is by far my favorite. The thrill of drafting and managing a team that you know will be yours forever is like no other format.
Other than FFB I like to spend time with my wife and kids, playing video games (I still love Tecmo Bowl!), and trying to create the perfect chicken wing.
I’m proud to be a part of DLF since 2006 and I really look forward to our future!
