DynastyLeagueFootball.com is always on the lookout for the best complementary service providers for our members and visitors to enhance the fantasy experience.  To that end, we are excited to announce a content partnership with FFPC for 2015!

Most fantasy players are well aware of the FFPC’s high stakes fantasy games but many don’t know they have also been offering dynasty league games since 2010.  At price points of $500, $750, $1,250 and $2,500 per team, dynasty players have a large stage in which to showcase their coaching talent.  Fully knowing DLF dynasty coaches are the most knowledgeable on the planet, a partnership between DLF and the FFPC is a perfect match.

As part of this partnership, DLF will be providing draft coverage for both rookie and maiden drafts as well as three months of Premium membership to all FFPC Dynasty team owners and co-managers.  With a potential first place prize structure exceeding $15,000 for the $2,500 league, we know our members and readers will be excited about the opportunity to match wits against the best coaches in the game – keep an eye out for our FFPC content in the coming weeks.

But all of you are already aware of what DLF brings to the table.  Let’s find out more about the FFPC from Alex Kaganovsky and Dave Gerczak themselves, Co-Founders of the FFPC.

Q:  What is the FFPC?

The FFPC stands for Fantasy Football Players Championship. We offer season-long pay-to-play fantasy leagues and contests.

Q:  Can you give us a bit of history about the FFPC?

Our names are Dave Gerczak and Alex Kaganovsky. We created and launched the FFPC in 2008. As high stakes fantasy players ourselves, we saw a void in the high stakes fantasy football space. Existing operators had become simultaneously more corporate, less customer-focused and less trustworthy, in our opinion. We felt we knew what players wanted, and we knew we could do it better. We grew slowly over the first few years but once the word about the FFPC spread, things started to pick up. We launched the popular Footballguys Players Championship in 2010.  That year was also the first season in which we offered high stakes dynasty leagues.  Currently we offer season-long tournaments, as well as a variety of different cash, satellite, and dynasty leagues. The FFPC is the largest high stakes season-long fantasy football provider in the industry.

Q:  How many teams does the FFPC host annually?

In 2015 we ran over 1,100 12-team leagues which amounts to over 13,000 teams and paid out over $5 million in prizes.

Q:  You offer many league formats beyond dynasty, can you tell us more?

We now offer the two largest season-long contests in the world: the FFPC Main Event and its sister contest, the Footballguys Players Championship (co-branded with Footballguys.com).

Each has a $2 million dollar prize pool and a $300,000 grand prize. The FFPC Main Event has the larger entry at $1750 per team. Owners can draft online or live in Caesars Palace, Las Vegas where we have a fantastic 3-day weekend of drafts and festivities. The Footballguys Players Championship is an online contest with a $350 entry per team. Drafts are held daily from July 6th thru September 10th.

We also offer other unique contests like the Terminator Tournament and the Super Bracket Tournament. We have a large variety of individual online leagues in many different formats, starting at $35 all the way to $10,000 entry per team. There’s definitely something to satisfy all interests and budgets.

Q:  Can you tell us more about your Las Vegas events?

If you ask any of the 1,000 fantasy players who came to the FFPC Live Events in 2014, they will tell you this is one of their best weekends of the year. Three full days of nothing but high stakes fantasy football drafts and parties. And when that’s all done, it’s time for an entire Sunday of watching NFL games. Oh and by the way, you are in Las Vegas. It doesn’t get much better than this!

Besides drafting your Main Event team, there are also Live Auctions, Draft Experts (aka best ball) and high stakes leagues at the $3,000, $5,000 and $10,000 entry per team. We also have very cool leagues like the Bare Knuckle Challenge where owners have to draft from pure memory; cheatsheets or electronic devices are not allowed during the draft! And then there is the ‘Off-The-Grid’ league where owners use real money to bid for the draft order and their first 2 rounds of picks! Both are great to participate in but also a lot of fun to watch.

Here’s a brief video from the 2013 FFPC Live Events. So save the date this September 10-12th and join us in Sin City!

Q:  Who manages the leagues and how do you ensure fairness in management and competition?

We act as commissioners for all of our leagues and formats.  We rule on dynasty trades, make decisions in tournament play or anything that may come up.  We take pride in being impartial and objective in our decisions.

In addition, another area that separates the FFPC is that online drafts have a live draft facilitator present overseeing the drafts. If there is an issue during the draft, the draft facilitator can quickly pause the draft to resolve it. His direct phone number is also made available to all draft participants in case of internet outage.

Q:  In dynasty formats, how do you manage vacated teams following the season

We give owners a deadline early in the off-season by which time they need to let us know if they will not be returning. As teams become available for sale, we evaluate each one and list them at full price to start. If a team is in rough shape, we would discount the price. And in certain cases may consider a dispersal draft if a league has multiple open teams which are not attracting new owners. In a general sense, most teams that come up for sale are in pretty good shape. The ones that are in need of a rebuild will be priced accordingly. Historically we have had a great rate of owner retention of 85-90% as most players enjoy their experience even if they have a rough season. We are proud to say that since we launched dynasty leagues in 2010, not a single league has folded.

Q:  What limitations or restrictions exist for taking a team?

Not any that are imposed by the FFPC. We continually encourage and remind all new owners that they should be ready to make a long term commitment before taking on new dynasty teams, both existing and startups. There are however restrictions that prevent residents of certain US states from entering and winning prizes. Please check the FFPC official rules for complete details.

Q:  Why partner with DLF?

Most of the dynasty world knows DLF is the leader in dynasty fantasy coverage. It has an excellent reputation and is a high-quality brand. I (Dave Gerczak) have been a subscriber for years and enjoy the content, the forums and the entire site. As the FFPC continues to grow in the dynasty space, it makes sense to work together. And since we don’t offer just dynasty, we hope some DLF members can play other leagues or check out the Main Event in Las Vegas.

Q:  Anything else our members and readers should know?

As new fantasy owners join the FFPC community, they realize this is a great tribe of like-minded people.  We all love fantasy football and our main goal is to provide a home for fantasy football enthusiasts to enjoy their hobby. As well as earn great cash prizes if they are good at drafting and managing their teams.

Q:  Where can our readers learn more?

Feel free to poke around the out the FFPC site, our forums and/or email [email protected] with any dynasty or fantasy questions. Looking forward to getting to know the DLF community!
