Well looks like I got lucky on a few last week (but then again I missed on a LOT as well!). Let’s give ‘er a go again this week and see if we can’t up the percentage of correct shots called. One for each game:

NYG @ ATL – Hakeem Nicks has the most receiving yards of the big 4 WRs in this game (Nicks, Cruz, White, Jones).
GB @ CHI – Brandon Marshall is held to under 6 receptions for only the fourth time this year, and Cutler can’t finish the game (again).
WAS @ CLE – Field goal fest. Six or more kicked between Forbath & Dawson.
MIN @ STL – AP’s quest for 2000+ hits a major roadblock as the Rams hold him to under 80 rush yards.
JAX @ MIA – Cam Wake & the Miami front dominates and records 5+ sacks.
TB @ NO – Neither VJax nor Colston top 100 yards.
DEN @ BAL – Dennis Pitta has a top 5 TE game with 6+ catches, 70+ yards and a touch.
IND @ HOU – Foster has a major bounce-back game after the stinker in Foxborough. Over 120 total yards and 2+ TDs.
DET @ ARI – It’s on like Ndamukong! Suh gets a sack, forced fumble, and yes…an INT! (That’s how bad these Cards QBs are – they toss picks to the fat guys).
CAR @ SD – Steve Smith has a multi-TD game.
PIT @ DAL – Steelers continue to be tough on TEs as Witten goes for under 6 receptions, averaging under 10 ypr.
    KC @ OAK – McFadden out-rushes Charles.
SF @ NE – Welker goes for double digit receptions.
NYJ @ TEN – Kendall Wright goes for over 100 receiving yards while Cro & Britt battle it out.

Woops, forgot one for the SEA @ BUF game (in my home country of Canada no less!)…here goes:

CJ Spiller has more receiving yards than Marshawn Lynch does rushing yards.

Matt Ryan has <250 yards passing and fewer than 2 TDs
    Doug Martin has 3 TDs
    CJ?K has <60 yards rushing
Lions D/ST more points than Bears D/ST
TY Hilton more points than Roddy White and Julio Jones combined
Josh Freeman more points than Aaron Rodgers

NYJ @ TEN: Sanchez is the only Jets QB to throw a pass

    • Peter G. says:

Looks like I got three of mine right during the early games:

      MIN @ STL
      DEN @ BAL
      IND @ HOU

Not too shabby, but it could’ve been better.

  5. Trevor says:

Side note- if any of my shots are or have been nearly identical to ones already called, I write my own shots before I read the ones that other people have made in this article. If any of my shots are the same as yours, it means we’re thinking the same.

NYG @ ATL: Giants D line dominates the line of scrimmage, resulting in Tony Gonzalez leading the Falcons in receiving yardage due to Ryan’s need to dump the ball off quickly.
GB @ CHI: Less than 40 points scored combined for this game.
WSH @ CLE: Man, there’s a lot of rookie starters in this game. 5+ combined turnovers.
MIN @ STL: Everyone knows AP is gonna run it. STL actually bottles him up pretty well, holding him under 100 yards rushing.
JAC @ MIA: Reggie bush goes for 125+ combo yards.
TB @ NO: Drew Brees bounces back with 3+ TDs and 350+ passing yards.
DEN @ BAL: Peyton Manning dissects the Baltimore D, posting a quarterback rating of over 120.
IND @ HOU: Arian Foster struggles with less than 100 combo yards.
SEA @ BUF: Another multi-touchdown game for Marshawn Lynch as he’s in full beast mode.
DET @ ARI: Joique Bell is the leading rusher in this game and scores a TD.
CAR @ SD: Cam Newton keeps rolling, over 300 passing and 50+ rushing yards.
PIT @ DAL: Both QBs struggle, as Romo and Ben both throw multiple INTs.
KC @ OAK: Neither defense actually shows up, 60+ points scored in a shootout.
SF @ NE: Kaepernick accounts for more total yardage than Tom Brady.
NYJ @ TEN: Wow, does anyone even care about this game? Kenny Britt goes for 100+ again.
