Health concerns aside for both Williams and Rice (which is almost an ridiculous remark since they are concerns), You have to think, atleast in the short-term, that Williams stands to be the biggest benefactor of Rice’s landing in SEA. It was too easy to roll coverage his way last year with a troupe of forgetteable WRs playing opposite to BMW – but now…

Teams are going to gameplan in the bend but don’t break model for Rice. “Just don’t give him the big catch” is going to be the order of the day for secondaries going up against the Seahawks. That could translate into a disturbing number of 10+ reception games for Williams – who let’s be honest, hasn’t played a full season in nearly 4 years before 2010. He’s only going to be better this year. Good luck sending your #2 corner to play man-to-man coverage on a 6’5 Mike Williams who looked stronger and more confident as the season came to a close.

    Beast comes to mind.
