With Calvin and Fitz as my 1 and 2, I was wondering who my consistent #3 WR would end up being this season.

With Julio Jones, AJ Green, Steve Smith (Carolina), and Braylon Edwards in the stable, I was leaning towards Julio to be penciled in at that position, at least in the short term.

Should Colston’s injury make it a no-brainer that Meachem should take that spot or should I wait to see how things pan out a little and play match-ups? (Hate doing that, since you tend to pick the wrong one). I’d rather roll with one guy.

Who would be your guy moving forward?

At this point, I’d say Meachem is the best bet of those five to score on a regular basis. We may know more after the weekend, but it’s still tough to trust rookies, Carolina looks awful and Edwards is anything but consistent wherever he plays.

“About a month ago, I wrote an article urging all dynasty league owners to consider how much value they place on Colston. As a player prone to injuries, he was already a gamble to be relying on. While this injury couldn’t have been predicted like a future knee issue likely could, it still illustrates how risky he was to have on a roster.”

I completely disagree with the logic of this paragraph. That collar bone injury could happen to anyone, and doesn’t illustrate anything about the injury risk of Colston what so ever. Injuries like that one are just part of playing football, they can happen to literally anyone, and it was a matter of chance that it happened to colston, not something predictive that is a product if his “injury proneness”.

The his knees condition is a concern, but his collar bone injury is completely independent of that, and should have zero long term impact on his value.
