Great article. Only got TB Mike on my team but only cuz the market was down for him and keeping him cost me little. Big concern is with Starks in GB. Just want to see him get some carries..i know..me and everyone else. Thanks!

    • I don’t think there is any reason to sell on Mike Williams. In fact, I’d be a buyer to someone that wasn’t happy with him.

And yes, I’m looking forward to Starks maybe producing more next year.

its a shame about zach miller. as an oakland fan i loved the dude. Between week 8 and 11 last year he did absolutely nothing. I started looking for a tight end. Found one. Jimmy Graham. Couldn’t be happier.

    • Jimmy Graham was a player that I really had scouted and in one of my main leagues I was prepared to take him in round 4 … and he went 3 picks ahead of me. I was really ticked.

      Yeah, a shame about Miller.

I’m in a league where you keep 4 players. Looking forward to 2012, who would you keep for QB: Rivers and loss a 6th round pick or Dalton and lose a 13th round pick? Last two seasons I built my team around Rivers and would feel bad about dumping him but I wonder if Dalton is the future, and the lower draft pick to boot.

Also, at WR, I can keep two only. My choices are B. Lloyd (3rd round), AJ Green (5th round), Miles Austin (6th round), or Sydney Rice (18th round). I think Green the sure thing. Austin was also a stud but are his days done? Do I keep hope for Rice to be productive next season and preserve the low round?

    • I’d hold onto Rivers. Dalton had a very easy schedule this year. While I love the kid and his competitive juices, I’m very interested to see how he does after his second year. Hang on to Rivers.

Green is a sure thing. I’d probably lean toward Austin or Rice. I’m really worried about Rice’s ability to stay healthy. Let’s see how Austin returns and make the call later.

Great Article! I’m in a 32 team dynasty league where I traded Matt Flynn for a pick who ended up being the #3 pick. From what I’m hearing it seems Richardson will be drafted first, followed by Blackmon. That would leave me in a great position to draft Luck but I’m also the proud owner of Rodgers. I’ve thought about drafting Luck and sitting on him then trading him later but my team is in championship mode. Would I be better off drafting Jeffrey or Miller someone else? I also have the 16th pick any names I should target around the range?

    My team-
    Rodgers
    Forte
    Bradshaw
    Kevin Smith
    Knox
    Marshall
    Olsen

    Bench-
Jacoby Jones, Alex green, mcnabb, Thomas Clayton and Kyle Williams.

I think you have to take Luck at that spot. Richardson and Blackmon are okay prospects but Luck could be the best QB to come out in 20+ years. Richardson is risky in the pros and Blackmon isn’t very big, I’m very curious to see his official size and weight. Blackmon looks like a playmaker though either way. But Luck is special.

I’ll be having a new draft article out soon so stay tuned.

Great article! With the exception of Daniel Thomas and Miles Austin, I agree with the rest of them. Thomas has been nagged by a hammy and Matt Moore doesn’t help. Austin has just been an unfortunate victim but I don’t see his value diminishing after this season.

I traded Chris Johnson for Darren McFadden yesterday for the risk/reward you mentioned. CJ cost me dearly this year but at least with McFadden, missing a few games is better than starting CJ and getting 12 rushes for 13 yards.

As for Rivers – no idea what’s going on there. He put up better numbers with VJax and Gates out last year. Hopefully a head coach change will get him back to that elite level but I’m hanging on to him.

What are your thoughts Ocho and Marshawn Lynch?

My problem with Thomas was that after watching a fair amount of tape on him, I’m not impressed at all about his pro prospects. He’s running exactly as I expected, hammy or not. But you never know … he could turn it around.

Ocho is done and Lynch is rising quickly. He looks like the Lynch of his rookie year and his line is opening holes. Don’t believe some of the “bigger” sites who claim he doesn’t have skill and that he’s succeeding in spite of himself. He’s always had talent, great balance and great power. He’s not a back that can take over a game or make a lot from nothing … but he has his moments there too. But give him a crease or a seam and he’ll make a lot of yards after contact and wear down a defense.

I disagree a bit with Daniel Thomas and Sam Bradford. Thomas looked explosive wks 2 and 3. Better than he did at Kansas. HAMSTRING has been the issue with him. Bradford is getting absolutely hammered with a garbage O Line, plus no offseason in a new offense. I am buying on both. Also everyone is on the Richardson band wagon. Ya he looks great on a top 5 team with a O line that may have 5 NFL starters on it in college. My money is on Polk from Washington. I think he could be special. His stock explodes if he runs a 4.4 forty at combine 1100 plus rushing yards 20+ receptions 3 straight season on a non ranked team in a big time conference. Great Article all around. Glad you throw out your opinion and don’t go with flow! thx

I like Polk as much as Richardson as well and think Richardson is a bit overrated, he scares me with his game at the NFL level. Polk has great vision and NFL caliber balance. Love his game. Richardson will still be my #1 but it’s very very close.

I’m not overly down on Bradford but his drop off this year has reduced his value somewhat. I’d be buying on Bradford

I don’t like Thomas at all and I’d be selling as long as I could get someone who was buying and a reasonable price.

      Thanks for the comment

No mention of Felix Jones, Mario Manningham, Ochocinco, Austin Collie, Mike Thomas, Lee Evans, “Big” Mike Williams, or Thomas Jones?

I could have easily put all those guys in there but wanted to keep it a bit more main stream. And the “falling” list was getting pretty long. Felix is definitely one that I could have put in there. The other guys are mostly done anyway without a lot of value. Manningham gets a bit of a pass in my mind and Collie does as well until I see next year.

Good mini list there though. That list could have been huge and could have taken me days to write.

Hi, Keeper question, I have 5 and need to keep 4

Rodgers, Ray Rice, Jamaal Charles, Chris Johnson, Rob Gronkowski

I’m leaning toward Gronk over CJ

In that case is trading CJ for Aj Green (we can keep 2 rookies as well) a fair trade?
