I could answer by saying that DLF is a completely free service, and it is … but there is something bigger going on here. Much bigger.
It’s been said that FFB participation has grown ten-fold in the past 5 years. As someone that has been playing this game from the 90s and has seen the rise of everything-fantasy-football-related over the last few years, I certainly do not doubt those figures.
Here at Dynasty League Football (DLF), we focus on the “Dynasty” format of our most beloved game. The partners here at DLF are hard-core football junkies that live and breathe football. Sure, we all cut our teeth on redraft and keeper leagues of days gone by, but when most of us got our first taste of the dynasty format, we knew there was no going back. Simply put, there is no greater fantasy challenge for the die-hard fantasy football player than the dynasty format.
There are no do-overs in a fantasy draft. If you have a poor strategy, bad information or don’t do your due diligence, you aren’t just out of the running for a single year; it may cost you three, five or more years to get your team to a competitive level again. But at the same time, you can still be a rookie in the format and expect to be competitive … if you do the necessary work.
There are hundreds of fantasy football related sites that are asking for your eyes and your dollars. When we started DLF, we looked at all of them and realized that for those fantasy coaches that want to take their game to another level and want to focus on the dynasty format, that there were almost no choices in the space.
Many sites claim dynasty experience, you’ve seen them. These sites have dynasty rankings, dynasty information and dynasty analysis but are obviously from individuals that don’t focus on the dynasty experience exclusively. Those that know the dynasty format know that if you focus on dynasty valuation, you can be very competitive in a non-dynasty format, but there is no going the other direction. Our rankings, articles and the site are focused on one format and one format only. And the benefits are obvious.
Those that run DLF are competitive, successful, hard-core dynasty league commissioners and coaches first and website developers second. This is an important fact. Nothing gets in the way of our endless hours of strategic analysis and dynasty research, ask our families. And it is important to know that the content we serve is the same content that we have used to be competitive in our own leagues, to gain the advantage to take home the rings. Would you take us seriously if we were perennially uncompetitive in the format? If you are going to make a site your home, would you prefer that it be provided by a group dedicated to your topic first … or your subscription dollars first?
But make no mistake about why we started DLF. Sure, it is a labor of love. Sure, it is because we felt that our dedication to the format and our information would speak to others similarly minded. But, we started DLF to assemble the greatest, most knowledgeable and most passionate dynasty related minds on the planet to share information, strategies and knowledge towards helping everyone to be more competitive.
We couldn’t be so short sighted or naïve to believe that we are the only ones to have a winning strategy. Anyone that knows dynasty knows that each coach has a different recipe and each one feels their recipe is superior. So rather than force feed you our recipe, we serve up a forum of the best coaches and allow you to preach or learn as you see fit. But the key is to get involved in the forums. Ask questions, help others and learn from the information on this site. Don’t stay on the sidelines as a guest, sign up, make a name for yourself and give back. Make DLF your home, help us to be successful with our little endeavor and tell others about us.
It’s not about us, it’s about you!
We’re not asking for your money, we’re asking for your support as a fellow hard-core, booger-nosed, fantasy football coach, commissioner or wannabe. There’s no fee here to get free information that is readily known or available from across the net. There’s no fee here to get weak content written by someone that doesn’t even have a dynasty team. There’s no fee here to read content from those that also have fantasy baseball, basketball or hockey teams. There’s no fee here to be a part of the best dynasty related community on the net.
Our motto here at DLF is simply “There is no off-season!” There is no time for all of these other things that take away from the single goal of being successful in this format.
It’s not about us, it’s about you!
If you need a single reason to sign up on the site, do so for the forums. You’ll see why so many of our members say that they have been other places and always come back here. You’ll see why they ask others to come back here and be a part of the movement. We’re not paying them to say these things or to bring you here for your money. They’re involved because they understand that more people equates to more information which equates to more success.
If you are reading this and you haven’t signed up yet, please make that your next step. That is your vote to tell us that what we are doing here matters. I will give you my personal guarantee that when you get on, get in and get posting … you’ll make us your home.
And again, it’s not about us, it’s about you!
DynastyLeagueFootball.com, there is NO off-season!

I’ve checked them all out and none compare to DLF, great job here fellas, your site and especially the forum is the best!
Please, please don’t take this the wrong way, but if you are a true die hard fantasy football person there is one better site if you want to play the dynasty format. Check out efsports.com(Extreme Fantasy Sports). That site has a full 53-man active roster, 8-man practice squad with salaries and contract years each owner has to manage. Also has Restricted and Unrestricted free ageny, and a full 7-round rookie draft. It isn’t free but It is far better than the rest. It tries to simulate the real NFL as much as possible.
Having said that, this is a very good site. Lots of information from a lot of different sources. It’s very helpful to fantasy owners. How do you join a league? I’ve been doing fantasy football for ~15 years and always looking for something new, fun, and exciting. I’ve never been to this site before and it looks like something I’d like.
Hi Andy!
Thanks for checking out the site – we’re glad you like it. I’m sure you’ll find some major differences in the two sites you’re comparing, as we chose not to offer the actual league setup and facilitation and focus instead on the background and strategy of building a team. Apples and oranges there for sure. Hope you find the same value our dedicated members do, too!
