    Question:
I’m 0-2 in my HeadtoHead league and my big names are letting me down.

    Here’s my team

    Romo QB
    MJD RB
    Colston WR
    Driver WR
    Maclin W/R
    Witten TE
    Reed K
    Pitt DEF

    R Gronkowski TE
    B Lloyd WR
    Hillis RB
    McGahee RB
    Campbell QB

I’ve been itching to pick up Moeaki and L Murphy but they have bye weeks along with my starters and would leave me with no one to play.

What would you suggest for my bench and how would you set the line-up in week 3.

    I need WR,WR,TE,RB, and W/R

Maclin and Driver have put up consistent points while colston has struggled, but its Colston and I don’t need to explain MJD.

I just don’t know if I should play Hillis or 3 WR for my flex. Advice?

Also with NE/Gronkowski against Buffalo he could come up big in the red zone. Should I bench Witten this week or stick with him.

Love the site and desperately need a win.

    Thanks

Wow, your big names ARE letting you down.

I’d go with Gronkowski, oddly enough. The Bills are awful and Brady should torch them this week. Witten is still reeling a little from the concussion and the Cowboys are a mess offensively.

I’d stick with Colston, no need to panic…yet.

Don’t bench your studs!! As soon as you do, they’ll have a game like you were expecting them to when you drafted them, and you’ll feel like a moron.
Romo, MJD, Colston, Maclin, Hillis (no Harrison this week), Witten

    Question:
Not really a lineup question… But where do you value Deon Butler of Seattle? Our league has a supplemental draft after week 2 each year and he is available. Is he worth using a lower 2011 draft pick on and stashing? My current WR’s are Fitzgerald, Smith (Car), Sims-Walker, Harvin, Royal, Shipley, and Derrick Mason, who I would probably cut bait with if I pick up Butler. Our draft is tonight so any insight would be helpful. Thank you, the site is great!

    • Ken Kelly says:

Well, Mathews is out for sure with the ankle issues. Your leaguemates have to hate your RB depth right now.

I’d say McCoy and Foster this week. Minnesota will watch the film from last week and make anyone but Best beat them. Their run defense is already very good, without any extra focus.

If Best can produce again this week, you have a great chance at winning your league.

    Question:
    Once again…not so much a lineup question…but more of a drop-n-add question.
Is there ANY value in Alphabet Soup (Ben Jarvis-Green Ellis John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt) in New England? I guess my thinking is this…they haven’t add a RB, and with Faulk getting a 1/3 of the touches there, someone has to pick up more. He got more carries last week against a good Jets Def, but against Buffalo this week, one might think he’s a sneaky pickup.

Who would you start this weekend….Fred Taylor or Mike Tolbert? I also have Brandon Jacobs, but I will dig up the fantasy carcass of Natrone Means before I start him again.

      Tolbert.

The New England situation is tough to predict on a weekly basis.

Tolbert is going to be a pretty solid RB2 this week. Don’t worry about the others you have. While it’s not ideal, you have to look at this as an apples to apples issue and Tolbert should easily outscore Taylor this week.

I need 2 RBs out of:
    Ray Rice vs CLE
    Arian Foster vs DAL
    Pierre Thomas vs ATL
    Matt Forte vs GB
    Jahvid Best @ MIN

    2 WRs out of:

    • Mike Tolbert
    • Brandon Jackson
    • Marion Barber

That one’s becoming a bit obvious, I think, but interested in any input I can get.

Secondly, I need two (one WR and one Flex) from among:

    • Malcom Floyd
    • Mark Sanchez
    • Chad Henne

Leaning toward Bryant and Floyd, but the option of playing a QB at Flex is hard to pass up, even with these two as the choices.

    10 yds rushing = 1 pt
    10 yds rec = 1 pt
    3 receptions = 1 pt
    35 yds passing = 1 pt

I’m already 0-2 having been hit in the past 2 weeks by big weeks from Forte and McCoy and V Jax not being traded.

Which 3 WR’s and 1 TE would you pick to start and why?

My WR’s Smith (Car), Ward, Murphy, Jacoby Jones, Garcon, RE Williams, C Mitchell.

    My TE’s: Z Miller, Moeaki

My instinct is to go Murphy, Jones and Smith at WR and Moeaki at TE. Ward has Batch at QB in a tough match-up and did little last week, Garcon has been a disappointment and had just 1 catch last week and Williams is OK for 3-30yds at most each week.

Miller also has been disappointing and although Gradkowski may look more underneath in his first game Moeaki has a decent match-up and a large number of targets over the last 2 weeks…

Should i take Mike Williams out,(TB) and substitute him with jacoby jones, aaron hernandez, or louis murphy. I also benched peyton hillis because of his matchup this week and started mike tolbert over him? good move?

Yes, good move with Tolbert. He’s a chic pick this week. I also think you stick with Tampa Williams. How can argue two straight games with a TD? Pittsburgh is going to throw the house at Freeman, but Williams has a good chance. Murphy, to me, is the only other option.

Looking to fill up my flex spots and have some calls to make. Standard scoring, non-PPR league. Have 2 dedicated WR, 2 dedicated RB, and then a W/R flex, a W/T flex, and a W/R/T flex.

    QB – Romo

WR options – Clayton, Collie, Smith (NYG), Royal, Harvin

    TE – Shiancoe, Hernandez

RB options – Greene, Benson, Hillis, C. Williams

I’m tempted to start Hernandez as a sleeper with the great match-up this week, but I’m not sure which of my WR’s to sit. I also like Hillis but terrible match-up against Baltimore. I think I have to start Greene and Benson as RB 1/2. Thoughts?

    Thanks!

My league has 3 flex spots, so I can put in 2 more players. Left to pick from is Hernandez, Harvin, Smith (NYG), Eddie Royal, and C. Williams. My gut says go with Hernandez and Harvin, but it’s hard to sit Steve Smith any week even though his season thus far is lackluster. Despite Harvin’s lack of output so far, the Vikings will be looking to go big against a weak Detroit defense. Thoughts on the last 2 spots? Thanks for the quick reply earlier!

    Last question;

In my dynasty league (PPR) I’m playing my arch rival (may the gods crush him) and I lost Moreno so i gotta go 4/1 WR/RB

My choices are as Follows: Fitz, Megatron, Braylon, Both Mike Williamses & Rice who’s KO’d.

I wanna put Fitz/Calvin/TB-Mike & Braylon cause i can’t imagine in a divisional game that Shotty will keep Edwards on the sidelines inside the 20, but what do i know? Should i start Mike X. over Edwards? SEA @ home..

Please, my foe must be tought humility.

    • DLF Ken K says:

No question. Rice should play the second half of the year and certainly won’t be sitting in weeks 16 & 17. I don’t see VJax playing again this season.

Even if Jackson DID play the second half, I think it’s 50/50 as to who would have the better numbers.

Keep Rice if you have to pick one.

Stick with Rice! Jackson probably won’t take a snap again this year … too much to risk for him. He’s only due to make something like $400k for the remaining games and he won’t risk a knee injury, or worse, for a bigger contract next year or beyond.

Agree with Ken on this … Floyd and Clayton, although it’s a crap shoot with both considering your options. I’d also start Bradshaw and Benson. I’d choose Williams for the flex. He loses value in a non-PPR, especially with Clausen now starting.

Any changes when I throw Steve Smith(NYG) or Beanie Wells into the mix?

I like the picks you made but currently have Tim Hightower in over DeAngelo Williams… Is the potential return of Wells important enough to sit Hightower over Williams? Both backs typically split their carries anyway. And with Wells not at 100% shouldn’t Hightower still get the majority of carries? I hope you have the answers on this one because I just don’t know if I can trust Williams again. Two disappointing weeks in a row from him. Your thoughts?

It’s not a cut and dried situation, that’s for sure. Hightower has been posting decent numbers, certainly better than Williams. In my mind, I can’t sit Williams for Hightower. CIN’s rush defense is better than OAK’s but I think Williams is going to get a lot of balls in the flat as they break in Clausin. It’s nearly a toss-up in my mind. If it’s me, I’m starting Williams, but it sounds like you’re leaning Hightower. Nothing wrong with trusting your gut on this one.

It’s hard to sit Schaub but this week the matchups are screaming in my face and Ryan has actually done almost as well this year so far. Was leaning Ryan.

    RB: J. Stewart @NO or S. Greene @BUF or B. Green-Ellis @MIA

With ADP and Charles out I have a tough decision to make for my RB2. I don’t like any of my options, J-Stew and Greene have done next to nothing this year but I have almost no faith in Pat’s RBs and and am quite nervous to start both Houston RBs. Leaning towards Greene.

    WR/TE: M. Sims-Walker vs IND or J. Gresham @CLE or G. Olsen @NYG

Hard to find a 4th receiver with Bowe, Dez, and M. Williams on Bye so I had been thinking maybe starting 2 TEs this week. MSW does play at home which could be good but he is just as likely to lay a goose egg for me. Was leaning towards Gresham.
