The weekly lineup advice column has exploded with interest. Last week, we had nearly 80 different lineup questions submitted and answered each and every one, as promised.
We’re going to try to answer the questions in a more efficient manner this week. We’ve upgraded the comments section underneath the article to allow us to post a reply to each individual comment.
So, all you have to do this week is post your question at the bottom of this article. We’ll give you our answers in real time so you don’t have to wait any longer than you have to. Any questions already submitted via the online form will be brought over tonight.
Just make sure to indicate if your league is a PPR league, and if there are any other unique scoring requirements.
Let’s go!

Question:
I’m 0-2 in my HeadtoHead league and my big names are letting me down.
Here’s my team
Romo QB
MJD RB
Colston WR
Driver WR
Maclin W/R
Witten TE
Reed K
Pitt DEF
R Gronkowski TE
B Lloyd WR
Hillis RB
McGahee RB
Campbell QB
I’ve been itching to pick up Moeaki and L Murphy but they have bye weeks along with my starters and would leave me with no one to play.
What would you suggest for my bench and how would you set the line-up in week 3.
I need WR,WR,TE,RB, and W/R
Maclin and Driver have put up consistent points while colston has struggled, but its Colston and I don’t need to explain MJD.
I just don’t know if I should play Hillis or 3 WR for my flex. Advice?
Also with NE/Gronkowski against Buffalo he could come up big in the red zone. Should I bench Witten this week or stick with him.
Love the site and desperately need a win.
Thanks
Wow, your big names ARE letting you down.
I’d go with Gronkowski, oddly enough. The Bills are awful and Brady should torch them this week. Witten is still reeling a little from the concussion and the Cowboys are a mess offensively.
I’d stick with Colston, no need to panic…yet.
Who do you think should be my other 2
Driver
Maclin
L. Murphy
Hillis
Thanks for the advice
Don’t bench your studs!! As soon as you do, they’ll have a game like you were expecting them to when you drafted them, and you’ll feel like a moron.
Romo, MJD, Colston, Maclin, Hillis (no Harrison this week), Witten
Driver and Hillis for me…

Question:
Not really a lineup question… But where do you value Deon Butler of Seattle? Our league has a supplemental draft after week 2 each year and he is available. Is he worth using a lower 2011 draft pick on and stashing? My current WR’s are Fitzgerald, Smith (Car), Sims-Walker, Harvin, Royal, Shipley, and Derrick Mason, who I would probably cut bait with if I pick up Butler. Our draft is tonight so any insight would be helpful. Thank you, the site is great!
Chewy:
I think we missed your deadline, but I’d say Butler is worth at least a third round pick in a rookie draft. Mason would be a worthy drop for sure.
I agree with Ken, I might even go as high as a late second rounder pick.

Question:
Great delimma to have….which two would you start between Ryan Mathews, Lesean McCoy, Arian Foster, and Jahvid Best? Thanks!
Well, Mathews is out for sure with the ankle issues. Your leaguemates have to hate your RB depth right now.
I’d say McCoy and Foster this week. Minnesota will watch the film from last week and make anyone but Best beat them. Their run defense is already very good, without any extra focus.
If Best can produce again this week, you have a great chance at winning your league.
I knew Hendrix was still out there, didn’t know you were a fantasy football fan. Keep rockin’ Jimi. I want to see one more week of Best against a Defense that is planning for him. Go with McCoy and Foster.

Question:
Once again…not so much a lineup question…but more of a drop-n-add question.
Is there ANY value in Alphabet Soup (Ben Jarvis-Green Ellis John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt) in New England? I guess my thinking is this…they haven’t add a RB, and with Faulk getting a 1/3 of the touches there, someone has to pick up more. He got more carries last week against a good Jets Def, but against Buffalo this week, one might think he’s a sneaky pickup.
Absolutely. He was a late addition to our waiver adds from last week. If he’s on your wire, it’s a mistake to leave him there right now.
Yes, there is never a bad time to add a younger back, especially a RB2 behind an aging (nearly done) RB1 like Taylor. Is BJGE the “next”? Can’t say that but he has an opportunity and that’s all you can hope for.

Question:
It seems like a no-brainer to sit Favre until further notice, But with a matchup against Det. would you start Favre or go with my other option, Kyle Orton?
Answers
It’s not a no-brainer against Detroit, but I like Orton better than Favre this week.
Both play at home and that’s the key. If Orton was on the road, I play Favre. But I suggested Favre last week and got burned … burned myself in fact. Orton is a safer play.

Hope all is well.
Who would you start this weekend….Fred Taylor or Mike Tolbert? I also have Brandon Jacobs, but I will dig up the fantasy carcass of Natrone Means before I start him again.
If it’s Tolbert, does it make any difference that I have Floyd and Gates as starters as well? Too many eggs in one basket?
Thanks! Really appreciate the site.
Tolbert.
The New England situation is tough to predict on a weekly basis.
Tolbert is going to be a pretty solid RB2 this week. Don’t worry about the others you have. While it’s not ideal, you have to look at this as an apples to apples issue and Tolbert should easily outscore Taylor this week.
Thanks, Ken!
You the man!

Tolbert’s a strong play this week, certainly over Fred Taylor.

Which 2 of each position should I start?
Running backs:
Addai vs DEN
R. Brown vs NYJ

Wide receivers:
Dez Bryant vs HOU
Mark Clayton vs WAS
Fitzgerald vs OAK
Malcom Floyd vs SEA
DeSean Jackson vs JAC
B. Marshall vs NYJ

Ravens vs CLE
Dolphins vs NYJ
Bengals vs CAR
Turner looks good this week, so Snelling is out. I like the following:
Mendenhall
Charles
Fitzgerald
D Jackson
(and this one isn’t even close at WR)
Ravens
I forgot to mention that I also have Hakeem Nicks who will play TEN. Still Fitzgerald and D Jackson? Thanks!
Yes, I’m still thinking so.

I started Best Week 1 but not 2.
Third WR? Murphy, Mike Williams, L Moore
Housmanzadeh is on waivers or either James or Jacoby Jones?
I oh-2 :<
McCoy and Best for sure there. Portis looks really old and had a horrible week saved with two short scores that you can’t rely on every Sunday.
Third receiver is Mike Williams (if it’s Tampa), Murphy if the Mike Williams you have is SEA.
I meant Mike Wallace LOL
thanks DLF rocks!
I actually like Murphy there…
WE start 2 Qbs in this auction league so we draft 4.

Just made the trade:
Portis Bradford Wallace for
R Moss Cassel Barber
Questoin is Should i keep the Schaub handcuff or pick up Brodie Croyle he still available?

Question:
Start Two:
Foster
Bradshaw
D Williams
S Jackson
B Jackson
I’d go with Foster and Stevie this week, especially in a non-PPR league. Williams is a close 3rd to me.
That’s a tough one. I’d start Foster for sure and probably Jackson as my #2. Bradshaw’s matchup is intriguing this week but the offense in St. Louis has to run through Jackson.
10 team non-ppr re-draft league.
My biggest concern each week is who to start at RB, WR and the flex spot because my roster is loaded.
I need 2 RBs out of:
Ray Rice vs CLE
Arian Foster vs DAL
Pierre Thomas vs ATL
Matt Forte vs GB
Jahvid Best @ MIN
2 WRs out of:
Calvin Johnson @ MIN
Steve Smith (Car) vs CIN
Percy Harvin vs DET
Hakeem Nicks vs TEN
Dwayne Bowe vs SF
Johnny Knox vs GB
Demaryius Thomas vs IND
1 RB or WR at the flex spot.
I’m considering Rice and Thomas as my RBs. Nicks and Johnson as my WRs. I can’t decide on my flex spot between Foster, Best or Smith. I’m leaning towards Best at the moment.
I’d appreciate your thoughts.
So, basically it’s a pick five here. I go with these:
Rice
Foster
P Thomas
C Johnson
Nicks
It’s tempting to go with Smith, but who knows how Clausen is going to react against an underrated defense.
So we agree on every starter except the flex spot.
I expect the Texans & Cowboys game to be an air show, so I’m worried Foster will get left out.
Best has put up impressive numbers and should be able to attack the Minny D on the edges rather than running up the gut where their strength is. I just don’t want to see Best sitting on my bench if he has a big day.
I agree Clausen is too much of a ? to start Smith.
In PPR league, head to head.. need help on who to start… League plays 1 QB, 2 WRs, 2 RBs, 1 TE, 1 RB/WR.. Who do I play from following:
1) Kyle Orton or Matt Ryan
2) Marques Colston, Mike Williams (TB), Jabar Gaffney, Mike Wallace, or Jacoby Jones
3) Jamaal Charles, Rashad Mendenhall, Shonne Greene, CJ Spiller, Marshuan Lynch, or Peyton Hillis
4) I’m playing Jermichael Finley no doubt!
5) Need a flex fill in
Thanks!
1) Orton
2) Colston & Williams
3) Charles & Mendenhall
4) duh
5) Hillis. That’s right, Hillis.
League Type: Dynasty
Teams: 10
PPR: Yes (3 rec = 1 pt)
IDP: No
Short and simple. I need to pick one RB from among:
• Mike Tolbert
• Brandon Jackson
• Marion Barber
That one’s becoming a bit obvious, I think, but interested in any input I can get.
Secondly, I need two (one WR and one Flex) from among:
• Dez Bryant
• Malcom Floyd
• Mark Sanchez
• Chad Henne
Leaning toward Bryant and Floyd, but the option of playing a QB at Flex is hard to pass up, even with these two as the choices.
10 yds rushing = 1 pt
10 yds rec = 1 pt
3 receptions = 1 pt
35 yds passing = 1 pt
TD = 6 pts
TD pass = 4 pts
Interception = -1 pt
Lost fumble = -2 points
Thanks.
Yeah, I agree with that. Awfully tough not to put in another QB. I think Tolbert’s your guy, and I’d go with Floyd and Henne this week. It’s tempting to go with Sanchez, but I don’t trust him just yet, especially with the Edwards debacle this week.
12 team dynasty, non PPR… Need 2 of Jermichael Finley, Hightower, Forsett, Barber III.
(In that order?)
Much obliged!
If Wells returns, he certainly won’t have a full workload. I think Finley and Hightower are high risk/high reward picks here. No real safe options, so I’d roll the dice.
I need 2 WR’s in a 12 team non-ppr league. 20 yards rec= 1 pt.
M. Williams(TB)
M. Sims-Walker(Jac)
S. Moss(Was)
M Wallace(Pit)
Thanks!
I think Moss is a no brainer here. The other is pretty tough. I’d go with Mike Williams to continue his early season streak of games with a TD catch.
Great job last week on the lineup advice.
12 team, no PPR, redraft
How do you rank these waiver pickups and why: J Snelling, BJGE, L Murphy, Manningham, E Royal?
I’ll hang up and listen to your answer.
Boy, those are close…and ranked differently in a redraft. I’d put them in this order:
Murphy (he’s the one guy on that list who is a no. 1 option on his team)
Royal (he’s bouncing back big, but Thomas is going to take some of his catches away)
Manningham
Snelling (it’s really tough to predict injuries, and that’s what it’s going to take for him to have 2010 sustained relevance)
Green-Ellis (the NE backfield is going to be an impossible juggernaut to predict this season)
I’d write opinion here as well, but it pretty much mirrors Ken K’s.
With the news that Gailey is going to give Lynch plenty of work this week, do I start him @NE or Marion Barber @Hou? Non-PPR. Thanks!
I’d go Barber.
Me too. Buffalo is a mess.
10 Team Non PPR
Choose 3 RB:
Moreno vs IND
McFadden vs ARI
Rice vs CLE
S. Jackson vs WAS
Choose 2 WR:
Malcolm Floyd vs SEA
Welker vs BUF
Nicks vs TEN
I’m planning Nicks and Welker at WR. At RB, I’m leaning Rice, McFadden, and Moreno. Your opinion?
Nicks and Welker
Rice, Moreno and..I’d go Sjax, but I spose DMc is worthy too…
I’m not crazy about benching Jackson, but McFadden has been solid the last 2 weeks and his match up with ARI is tempting.
Nicks and Welker
Rice, SJax, and Moreno
Your decision was made for you with Moreno being out this week. Welker and Nicks for the WRs.
Choose 1 wr, 1 rb in PPR and pts for KR/PR
Dez Bryant
Hakeem Nicks
Jeremy Maclin
Mike Williams (TB)
Arian Foster vs Dallas
Frank Gore vs KC
Leaning toward Dez because of shootout in Texas and pts for KR/PR, and Gore..
Thanks!
I’d go with a more sure thing in Nicks.
And I agree Gore is the better play there.
I’d go with Nicks as well. Bryant is a little dinged up and still searching for a role in that offense.
Who should I start at RB2 with the following:
James Stewart
Donald Brown
Bernard Scott
I know they are all backups, but its what I have.
I’m guessing you mean Jonathan Stewart, CAR? Assuming so, I’d rank them
Brown
Stewart
Scott
I’d make it Stewart, Brown, Scott. J-Stew is due for a breakout here soon. The Panthers have to start running even more with Clausen starting.
Thanks for the input. I was also thinking Stewart was “due”.
[Of course, I thought that the first two weeks too!]
(PPR League) Assuming health, Garcon or Harvin? Or try to be sneaky with M. Williams (TB)?
Also, Deon Butler, S. Williams (ARI), and Naanee, worth holding over M. Goodson?
Thanks!
Easily Garcon. MINN has been a train wreck and DEN is actually not a bad matchup for IND and Garcon.
I think Garcon is still worth playing this week, though his production has been disappointing.
Goodson can stay on the wire in favor of those other three right now.
Update: GARCON has been ruled OUT! I’d take Williams over Harvin…
12 team PPR league, Who should i start at my flex(rb/wr) Brandon jackson@Bears or Eddie Royal vs Colts??
I’d take Royal at home, wait until Jackson an prove himself a bit more.
I’d take Royal this week in PPR league, but it’s really close.
12 team non-ppr dynasty need a second RB
I never thought I would ask this but…
Fred Taylor Vs. Buff
or
J. Stewart Vs. Cincy
I never though I would say this in 2010…
start Fred Taylor over J Stewart.
I never thought you’d say it either.
I’d still take Stewart. BGE had more carries than Taylor last week. If I need to pick one back who is likely going to have less than 10 carries in a game, I’ll take the one with younger legs.

If Wells plays, they have to consider him close to 100%. You have to play him if that’s the case.

1) Looking for my 2nd receiver from the following list:
H Ward
H Nicks
D Bryant
2)Would you use either of the remaining 2 WRs over Tolbert in the flex? (I’m guessing “No”)
Nicks this week after he’s had some time to get back to 100%…and no way any of them play over Tolbert for me.
Close call between Bryant and Nicks but I go with Nicks for the TD play. And, no, start Tolbert over the others, especially in non-PPR
I need to pick a RB/WR and WR out of this group, non-ppr league
LT
Stewart
Brandon Jackson
Demayrius Thomas
Mike Williams (TB)
Steve Smith (NYG)
I think I’d actually go with LT and Smith here. Tomlinson looks like he’s 28 again.
I agree with Ken. The CIN defense is very underrated right now and LT is getting more carries. Thomas is an interesting start possibility but you want to see one more week. Go with LT and Steve Smith.

Murphy for me. Pittsburgh shut down CJ. That’s all you need to know.
Which TE should I start among these three:
Kellen Winslow (against a PIT defense)
Marcedes Lewis
Aaron Hernandez (against a very favorable Bills matchup)
Leaning towards the risky but potentially rewarding pick of A. Hernandez.
To clarify: for a non PPR league. Thanks.
Lewis is hot, but Hernandez looks great. I think you’re on the right track.

2.) Knox and Williams in the second one.

12 team; PPR; Starting M. Austin, need 2 more WR’s. Please help me choose from the following: Ward, Clayton,or Sims-Walker? Also who would you start between Flacco or Henne?
Glad to hear it Chris! Tell everyone who isn’t in your league.
With Batch at the helm, I’d go with Clayton and MSW. Henne is more attractive with Revis out, but I’d go with Flacco. He’s due and they play a Browns secondary that isn’t exactly full of Canton-bound players.
Clayton and Sims-Walker. Start Flacco.

Mendenhall is a must start for you. I’d check the injury status reports all day tomorrow and Sunday, though. Some reports say Hightower should get more carries, others say Wells will. It’s a tough call there.
I’d play it safe and just go with Mendenhall and B Jackson, with Gaffney as your WR.

I have a RB question. I have CJ, B Jacobs, and Peyton hillis as my top 3. CJ is a starter obviously. But who do I start this week between the other 2?
Also is there anyone in FA that I could pick up at the RB spot?
Hillis is your other RB for sure. I’d check our weekly waiver wire articles for a list of players who could be available, but the best one at the moment looks like Laurence Maroney.
Jacobs can’t start, maybe ever again. Hillis is your easy choice this week. As Ken said, Maroney’s going to get a chance. After that, it’s pretty thin. Check some of our rising/falling articles for some ideas. Kuhn in Green Bay could get a few more carries.
Much appreciated! Love the site. Keep up the good work!
PPR League, 14 teams
Deangelo Williams (vs Cin) or Ahmad Bradshaw (vs Ten)
They both have a pretty equal number of carries thus far, but I think Bradshaw takes advantage this week and breaks a nice run.
You can bet the Bengals will dare to make Clausen beat them and the Panthers will likely run the ball a lot, though.
Both good choices, but I’ll roll with Bradshaw.
Yo Ken,
My RB’s are Adrian Peterson, Shady McCoy and Pierre Thomas in a PPR league. We only start 2. Who would you go with for your RB2.
Thanks
Peterson is automatic and McCoy looked pretty good with Vick last week. I think you go with those two and rest easy with a pretty good team.
12 team PPR Dynasty League
I’m already 0-2 having been hit in the past 2 weeks by big weeks from Forte and McCoy and V Jax not being traded.
Which 3 WR’s and 1 TE would you pick to start and why?
My WR’s Smith (Car), Ward, Murphy, Jacoby Jones, Garcon, RE Williams, C Mitchell.
My TE’s: Z Miller, Moeaki
My instinct is to go Murphy, Jones and Smith at WR and Moeaki at TE. Ward has Batch at QB in a tough match-up and did little last week, Garcon has been a disappointment and had just 1 catch last week and Williams is OK for 3-30yds at most each week.
Miller also has been disappointing and although Gradkowski may look more underneath in his first game Moeaki has a decent match-up and a large number of targets over the last 2 weeks…
Your views!!?? Cheers guys.
Moeaki has looked good, but you know he’s on the radar now. I like the combination of Murphy, Jones, and Smith with Z Miller as your TE. It’s tough to rely in two Raiders, but I think that may just be your best combo there.
I like Garcon over Jones if he seems healthy (and have recommended him here in the last few days), but he merits close watching the next two days.
WRs: Smith, Jones and probably Murphy. Garcon is intriguing this week but Collie is getting too many looks. Miller as your TE.

Question:
I torn betweent Brees and Rivers. Normally it just a Brees, but NO doesn’t seem to be clicking yet and ATL will try to pound the ball on them and Rivers is at Seattle?
Another pick 5 for you. I don’t really like either of my RB matchups – Javid Best @ Minn and Ronnie Brown vs Jets. Also, could play Marshawn Lynch which would probably be real dumb! WRs are Fitz, Brandon Marshall, SS Carolina, Mike Williams- TB, TO, and shipley.
I’m leaning towards Best, Brown, Fitz, Marshall, SS…. and still Brees?
What say you?
Thanks for all the input!
Seattle plays much differently at home. I like Brees this week against Atlanta.
Best, Brown, Fitzgerald, Marshall, and Smith there. Your instincts serve you well…as long as I’m right here. Heh.
I couldn’t sit Brees, unless he’s playing the Jets. Start him. I don’t like the Brown matchup vs the Jets, I expect Williams will do better against them. I’d swap out Brown for a sneaky play of Shipley for the PPR points.
12 team. PPR td=6,Rewards return yards
Ok with J. Harrison not practicing last 3 days im looking for a replacement for him. My back up rb’s arent any good so im going to play a wr instead. Options im considering is Roy Williams, James Jones or Josh Cribbs. Jones may have more potential..But Williams should get a opportunity at least because Cowboys dont like to run it and Cribbs always has the potential for a ret TD, though hes banged up as well. I cant make up my mind..Suggestions guys?
Those are some really tough options. I’d probably go with Jones, but I wonder if Maroney, Deon Butler, or another player could be available on waivers. Check out our waiver list this week for some choices
If you get return yardage, go with Cribbs … I have a sneaky suspicion about him this week. If no return yards, go with Jones.
Alright, I’ll get right to it.
I gotta pick from starting Orton/McNabb and a couple of quandries that are as follows
either LT/Tolbert
Pick 2 of the 3; Knox/Crabtree/Driver
My Gut tells me to stick with Mcnabb as Orton will likely find themselves passing often and early and IND will gameplan for that. Tolbert being “the” guy + goal line duties give him the edge, while Driver & Knox seem to be the reliable choice..
After seeing the Colts manhandle Eli Manning last week, I’d stick with McNabb against STL.
Tolbert for sure over LT.
I like Knox and Driver as well. Crabtree is on the proverbial bench until he shows some maturity.
Tolbert for sure. For your WRs, Knox and Driver – Crabtree looks pedestrian. At QB, I’d stick with McNabb, especially if your gut is telling you too. At least that way, if you’re wrong, you’ll be able to sleep and not over think things in the future.
I’m in a PPR league. QB 1pt-25yrds 4pts-td I have Romo and Vick both should be good do I go with Vick we also get 1pt-10rushjng yards. RB 1-10 6-td With 4 solid RB’s every week is tough to pick 2 out of Best,P-Thomas,Gore,and McFadden. What do you guys think? This is a tough week. WR 1-10 6-td i’m really stuck here Calvin Johnson, Maclin-PHI, Wallace-PIT, and i just picked up D-Thomas from DEN. I need 2 of these guys for my week 3 lineup. HELP!
Boy, Vick is tough to bench this week with his matchup and Romo hasn’t clicked with that offense yet. The Texans have given up over 400 yards in back-to-back weeks, though. I’d say Romo in a close call.
Good RB options for sure. Call me crazy, but I think Gore and McFadden this week. If Best can put together a good game against Minnesota, he’ll be a must play every week. DMC is on fire, though.
I’d go with Calvin and D Thomas this week. Wallace has struggled and Batch isn’t known for his arm. Maclin is tempting as well, but I like what I saw from Thomas…and you can bet the Broncos did, too.
I’d still start Romo. I’d start Vick over a lot of other QBs, but probably not outside of the top 8 at this point, even with Romo looking less than ideal. Real tough choice with your RBs and you have a good chance of getting burned regardless. I couldn’t sit either McFadden or Gore this week, have to start both.
Megatron is still a must start every week. For your WR2, I’d roll the dice on Thomas.
Love the site!
12-team league, redraft, 0.2 ppr
Start 3 WR from the following:
Brandon Marshall v. NYJ
Miles Austin v. @HOU
Jeremy Maclin v. @JAX
Legedu Naanee v. @SEA
Louis Murphy v. @ARI
I’m obviously starting Austin and will most likely start Marshall considering Revis is out. I’m torn between Maclin and Murphy. Thanks for any thoughts!
Austin and Marshall are must plays this week. The third one is tough, but I’m hitching my wagon to Murphy this week all over this board. Let’s see if he can build on a solid week two. In these close calls, I go with the No. 1 receiver, and Murphy is just that in Oakland right now.
Thanks for your comment.
Your starting 3 are Austin, Marshall and I’m going to recommend Maclin over Murphy this week.
Ken,
I have Arian Foster, Jamaal Charles, Tim Hightower and Beanie Wells in a PPR league. We only start 2 RB’s. Who would you start this week?
Thanks
Foster and Charles, hands down. Just no telling what is going on with the ARI running situation at this point. And they have not been a good offense. If you HAVE to play an ARI back, stick with Hightower.
If Wells plays, then I too go with Foster and Charles.
We start 3 WR in a PPR league. My WR’s are Colston, Crabtree, Harvin, Walter and Breaston. Which 3 would you go with this week.
Thank You
Colston, Walter and Harvin. I want to say Breaston but Harvin at home, as long as he’s healthy, is too tough to pass on for me.
I’d actually go with Colston and Walter, but say yes to Breaston. Tough call there, but I don’t trust the Minny offense or Harvin’s health right now.
.5 ppr
start 3 of these 4:
r rice
Pierre
Best
Hightower
Your top three are the ones. Rice, Thomas, and Best.
First 3, leave Hightower on your bench.

Question:
Im wondering who to start here.
Should i take Mike Williams out,(TB) and substitute him with jacoby jones, aaron hernandez, or louis murphy. I also benched peyton hillis because of his matchup this week and started mike tolbert over him? good move?
Answers
Yes, good move with Tolbert. He’s a chic pick this week. I also think you stick with Tampa Williams. How can argue two straight games with a TD? Pittsburgh is going to throw the house at Freeman, but Williams has a good chance. Murphy, to me, is the only other option.
Tough call … I would start Murphy. Williams just doesn’t have much of a chance vs. PIT in my opinion. Thumbs up on Tolbert
Looking to fill up my flex spots and have some calls to make. Standard scoring, non-PPR league. Have 2 dedicated WR, 2 dedicated RB, and then a W/R flex, a W/T flex, and a W/R/T flex.
QB – Romo
WR options – Clayton, Collie, Smith (NYG), Royal, Harvin
TE – Shiancoe, Hernandez
RB options – Greene, Benson, Hillis, C. Williams
I’m tempted to start Hernandez as a sleeper with the great match-up this week, but I’m not sure which of my WR’s to sit. I also like Hillis but terrible match-up against Baltimore. I think I have to start Greene and Benson as RB 1/2. Thoughts?
Thanks!
2WR = Collie (Garcon is out) and Clayton in a non-PPR
2 RB = Benson, Hillis
1 Flex = Greene
TE = Shiancoe (he’s the one player outside of Peterson I can be comfortable with in Minnesota)
I’d go with Collie and Smith. I still have a gut feeling about Harvin this week, but he’s a tough start. Benson and Hillis are your two RBs. TE Shiancoe all the way.
My league has 3 flex spots, so I can put in 2 more players. Left to pick from is Hernandez, Harvin, Smith (NYG), Eddie Royal, and C. Williams. My gut says go with Hernandez and Harvin, but it’s hard to sit Steve Smith any week even though his season thus far is lackluster. Despite Harvin’s lack of output so far, the Vikings will be looking to go big against a weak Detroit defense. Thoughts on the last 2 spots? Thanks for the quick reply earlier!
I’d roll with Harvin and Smith.
Thanks for the replies guys!
Last question;
In my dynasty league (PPR) I’m playing my arch rival (may the gods crush him) and I lost Moreno so i gotta go 4/1 WR/RB
My choices are as Follows: Fitz, Megatron, Braylon, Both Mike Williamses & Rice who’s KO’d.
I wanna put Fitz/Calvin/TB-Mike & Braylon cause i can’t imagine in a divisional game that Shotty will keep Edwards on the sidelines inside the 20, but what do i know? Should i start Mike X. over Edwards? SEA @ home..
Please, my foe must be tought humility.
Teach your foe humility with the following:
Fitzgerald, Johnson, both Mike Williams
I just don’t think Edwards is a good option this week. They’re really, really upset with him and he could play 3 quarters or 3 plays.
Edwards is not one I’d start this week, too much uncertainty.
12 team, 0.5 PPR league, 4 points per passing TD
I am starting M.Vick at QB. Should I dump Kolb as my back up QB in favor of one of the following?
S.Bradford, JFreeman, MHasselbeck, or M.Stafford
If so, which one should I pick up?
Thanks.
In a non-dynasty league, I think that’s a good move. I like Freeman for the year, believe it or not.
Freeman is the only one worth considering if you dump Kolb. Stafford could be a nice play in a few weeks, but even then, I think Freeman has more upside.

Question:
I am holding Vincent Jackson on my bench for future value the last half of the season. Would I be better off holding Syndie Rice instead?
Answers
No question. Rice should play the second half of the year and certainly won’t be sitting in weeks 16 & 17. I don’t see VJax playing again this season.
Even if Jackson DID play the second half, I think it’s 50/50 as to who would have the better numbers.
Keep Rice if you have to pick one.
Stick with Rice! Jackson probably won’t take a snap again this year … too much to risk for him. He’s only due to make something like $400k for the remaining games and he won’t risk a knee injury, or worse, for a bigger contract next year or beyond.
12 team Redraft every 5 receptions=1 pt, other than that standard scoring.
I need a wr2 to start. My options are L.Murphy@AZ, Nicks vs Titans,Harvin vs lions or D. Thomas vs Colts
Nicks. He should be healthy this week…
I’m going against the grain on this one. Nicks is the easier call to make but , although it’s still very early in the year, the Titans have the #1 pass D. Gimme Harvin for a breakout game.
Non PPR league – Need help with WR and WR/RB selection… (2WR,2RB,1WR/RB) What do you think the best combination is? I’m really struggling with the receiver choice. Thanks for the help!
WR:
Malcom Floyd
Kevin Walter
Mark Clayton
Donald Driver
RB:
Ahmad Bradshaw
Tim Hightower
Cedric Benson
DeAngelo Williams
2WR = Floyd and Clayton
2RB = Benson and Williams
FLEX = Bradshaw
I think that combination gives you some risk (Clayton), but also some safety (Bradshaw and Williams).
That seems to be a worthy set to me.
Agree with Ken on this … Floyd and Clayton, although it’s a crap shoot with both considering your options. I’d also start Bradshaw and Benson. I’d choose Williams for the flex. He loses value in a non-PPR, especially with Clausen now starting.
Any changes when I throw Steve Smith(NYG) or Beanie Wells into the mix?
I like the picks you made but currently have Tim Hightower in over DeAngelo Williams… Is the potential return of Wells important enough to sit Hightower over Williams? Both backs typically split their carries anyway. And with Wells not at 100% shouldn’t Hightower still get the majority of carries? I hope you have the answers on this one because I just don’t know if I can trust Williams again. Two disappointing weeks in a row from him. Your thoughts?
Thanks again!
It’s not a cut and dried situation, that’s for sure. Hightower has been posting decent numbers, certainly better than Williams. In my mind, I can’t sit Williams for Hightower. CIN’s rush defense is better than OAK’s but I think Williams is going to get a lot of balls in the flat as they break in Clausin. It’s nearly a toss-up in my mind. If it’s me, I’m starting Williams, but it sounds like you’re leaning Hightower. Nothing wrong with trusting your gut on this one.
PPR league. Need to choose a 1 RB to start now that Knowshon is out. Not great options…who is the best one?
M. Barber
F. Jackson
J. Stewart
Also have J. Forsett and W. McGahee sitting on the waiver wire. Would I be better off grabbing one of them and plugging them in this week?
Stewart

QB: M. Schaub @OAK or M. Ryan vs SF
It’s hard to sit Schaub but this week the matchups are screaming in my face and Ryan has actually done almost as well this year so far. Was leaning Ryan.
RB: J. Stewart @NO or S. Greene @BUF or B. Green-Ellis @MIA
With ADP and Charles out I have a tough decision to make for my RB2. I don’t like any of my options, J-Stew and Greene have done next to nothing this year but I have almost no faith in Pat’s RBs and and am quite nervous to start both Houston RBs. Leaning towards Greene.
WR/TE: M. Sims-Walker vs IND or J. Gresham @CLE or G. Olsen @NYG
Hard to find a 4th receiver with Bowe, Dez, and M. Williams on Bye so I had been thinking maybe starting 2 TEs this week. MSW does play at home which could be good but he is just as likely to lay a goose egg for me. Was leaning towards Gresham.
Appreciate the help guys!
Ignore that, read the wrong week.
