If Williams is near 100%, I’d go with Williams and Colston. Smith just doesn’t get into the end zone enough. His value is substantially less in a non-PPR format. It’s a toss up between Maclin and Smith otherwise, I’d go with Colston and Maclin.

What are your thoughts on James Starks? Any worth to him? Is he worth picking up?

Also, is Taylor Price (NE) even worth keeping on my roster now that Branch is in NE?

Pick one: Peyton Hillis, Brandon Jacobs, Willis McGahee
Pick one: Brent Celek, Tony Moeaki
Pick one: Eli Manning, Vick/Kolb (whoever starts)
Pick one flex: Demaryius Thomas, SEA Mike Williams, Joshua Cribbs, or unused RB/TE from above.

      IMO;

Starks is worth a pick up if you’re not you have the roster fodder to cut. Without a doubt, I think he’ll be given a shot to be the workhorse. Whether he’s that good, we don’t know. But what i do know is the man hasn’t played a game of football since 2008. There’s injury concerns there.

I’d say its pretty straight forward.
Hillis (so long as he plays)
Celek (Moeaki needs a few more weeks to gain my trust). Celek is the one who’s more likely to blow up (if either do)
I’m going with Mike Williams myself. He’ll be back to full strength, they’ve had a week to prepare, and PC said he wanted to push Mike to be a #1 (basically, lets see if you can handle it)

Starks MUST be owned in all dynasty formats. He is a Ryan Grant sized back with a similar running style but with more physicality and better vision. His hands are what make him a cut above. I’m concerned about him not playing for going on two years now, but he should be rested. He’s a good kid and will get a shot in the next few weeks.

Price is probably cuttable depending on the rest of your players.

Hillis, Celek, Manning and Williams due to PPR.

I scooped up Brandon Lloyd and Peyton Hillis before or just after week 1 because of your waiver wire suggestions, and needless to say everyone in my league was shocked to see how “brilliant” that was. Thanks for that alone

    PPR league
    ROMO – QB
    PITT – DEF

    Need 2WR, 1RB, 1 W/R
    Lloyd v. NYJ
    Maclin v. Atl
    MJD v.Ten
    Driver v. Miami
    Hillis @ Pit
    Murphy @ SF
    Colston @ TB

I’m thinking Lloyd, Maclin, and MJD…I like Hillis because he can score even if he doesn’t rush for many yards, which he probably won’t against Pitt. Not sure about Driver if he doesn’t have Rodgers and Murphy/Colston are just starting to come-back from injury/disappointment.

I would start Colston over Maclin. I think it’s a bit more of a boom or bust play, with how erratic the NO WR corps have been lately, but I’m just not wild about Maclin, and I think Colston has to hit a big game sooner or later, and I believe NO will come out with guns-a-blazing after that loss to ARI.

Like Jeff said, you can’t sit Lloyd right now, plus I bet Revis sits this week to heal up for two weeks to come out of the bye in good shape.

      RB is MJD for sure.

Hillis is a tough draw against a PIT team which will be stopping the run and forcing McCoy to beat them. Just doesn’t feel like a recipe for a good game there. I’d probably roll with Maclin in that spot, especially in a PPR league.

I’d actually go with Crabs here. While I’m way not an Alex Smith fan, Crabs production has been steadily increasing each of the last three weeks. I think the new OC there is doing a better job of scheming him, and I think this week, he’ll definitely have more yardage than Williams.

I am constantly getting hammered to trade Jamaal Charles for Pierre Thomas and Eddie Royal. I would be light at RB this week with Ray Rice and McGahee and Royal would be a good pickup cause I lost Clayton last week. I think Thomas is out.

I’m just not a Royal fan. And PT has ability and value but I’m worried about his mounting injuries. JC is young, explosive and is a decent RB2. When bad injuries happen, you don’t want to respond with desperation. I’d hang on to JC.

Foster and Drew for your RBs. Nice group there.

Hard to argue against Floyd right now. I’d go with Floyd and Amendola considering the PPR aspect. Wallace is a nice play this week but the PPR of Amendola is tough to pass up.

Would you trade Matt Schaub at this time? And would it be more beneficial to get draft picks or players?

I joined a league that has been in place for 10 yrs and received a team that was picked apart. Thankfully, in the last draft I did pretty well.

I am encouraged by your sell high/ buy low strategy. Here is my team:

    QB’s:
    Freeman, Josh
    Schaub, Matt
    Tebow, Tim DEN
    Young, Vince
    RB’s:
    Dixon, Anthony
    Ivory, Christopher

    WR’s:
    Bennett, Earl
    Bess, Davone
    Harvin, Percy
    Johnson, Steve
    Naanee, Legedu
    Tate, Golden
    Williams, Damian
    TE’s:

    Graham, Jimmy
    Moeaki, Tony
    K’s:
    Bironas, Rob
    DEF’s:

This is an article in and of itself. In short, Yes. Schaub isn’t going to help you win anytime soon. It can be fun to rebuild if you embrace it. I’d trade Schaub and see if you can find a sell high taker for Steve Johnson. Additionally, try to move Martellus to the owner of Witten for a second rounder. Your RBs have the potential to be good in future years.

In your position, it’s tough to get draft picks in return because there’s a high bust factor involved, especially if you aren’t sure it’s a very high pick. Trade Schaub for a younger starting RB1 or for a WR1 to a team in bad QB shape. Multiple starters would go a long way here as well. Perhaps a RB2 + WR2. Known commodities are more important than picks in your situation. Don’t look for one year wonders though … make sure you’re getting a players that are more established.

Got what I believe to be an interesting question concerning QB output this week. I’m considering benching A Rodgers (assuming he plays) in favor of Josh Freeman this week. Normally I wouldn’t even let the thought enter my mind, but what I’m wondering here is this; starting Freeman basically guarantees 20 points taking into consideration his averages this year, and while starting Rodgers obviously provides a ton more upside, what’s giving me pause is my concern over Rodgers making an early exit via a hard hit. Unlike real-life coaches, we fantasy managers can’t throw a back-up QB into play after the games start. Considering how concussions seem to occur with more frequency after the first one, and considering the tendency of teams to play it safe (and they should) in these circumstances, I’m curious to see what play you guys think is the better play here – take the high percentage but lower ceiling w/Freeman, or take the riskier, more upside play w/Rodgers and hope he doesn’t exit the game in the 1st quarter?

Questionable. I’m not a MSW fan at all so that’s okay there. I look at this as Foster for Hernandez and Jennings. At least you have AP. You have a deeper lineup now but your lineup was more scary with Foster and AP. I’m not fully on the Foster train just yet and I’m a bit concerned about your RB depth now. I’m not a big fan of making trades like that due to injury, especially in that Finley is probably your starter when he returns, next year or later this year.

But, on the surface, the trade is “okay” … but I don’t think I would have made it until Jennings was producing at a higher level. It is PPR so that does help a bit. What happens when Hillis is no longer starting?

I know a lot of people that are itching to start Big Ben this week but Manning has been pretty good of late, I’d start him. Tough to not start Miller even though I think Hernandez is going to have a nice game. I’d go with Miller.

PPR league – pick one WR and one Flex:

    R. Brown, L.T., M. Williams (TB), Austin Collie, B. Edwards, M. Wallace.

    Leaning towards LT and Williams

    Hey Guys,

Great site, always appreciate the extra input…

    Flex Spot – Non PPR

BJackson- Will GB rely more on the Run with Rodgers getting banged up last week?

Felix Jones- coming off a good last week, getting the ball more now.

or I also have a Garcon and Manningham sitting right now too.

    Thanks in advance.

One more question. Thanks for the answer above.

PPR league, redraft, standard 6 point per TD scoring system.

What receiver should I start? Garcon, Britt or Knox?

In my flex, I can use a receiver above or Michael Bush, Hillis or Ronnie Brown. Who should I start here?

    Thank you again.
