Yikes. I thought the Seahawk backfield was a mess last year, but this is even worse. it tells us a few things about some players, though.
LenDale White RB SEA
White is the clear winner in this today. He’ll handle short yardage work and is probably a good bet to handle first and second down duties as well. He should push for 900-1,000 yards and it’s conceivable that he could get 8-10 TDs. I’d put him at RB3 value.
Leon Washington RB SEA
Washington’s time was numbered when the Jets took Joe McKnight. Look for him to be the Hawks 3rd down back and the “Reggie Bush” to White next season.
Justin Forsett RB SEA
All the hope for him being a productive starter is out the window today. He’s the clear loser unless you consider…
Julius Jones RB SEA
He’ll be on the cheese line soon.
Joe McKnight RB NYJ
Washington’s exit makes it much easier for McKnight to transition into the offense. This still isn’t a great fit long-term, so temper your expectations.
Marshawn Lynch RB BUF
It’s going to be awful tough for him to find a place now.
