great site, thanks for all your hard work

quick question…12 team dynasty ppr ko/pr yards

what are your current feelings on brandon tate? Should he be rostered in dynasty leagues? I realize the pats have a ton of draft picks, so im assuming they will use one on a reciever. That being said, do you feel like Tate has a realistic shot at an expanded role in 2011?

    thank you guys

Tate is intriguing but I’m not as high on him as others are. the Patriots run an offense with no single focus point in the passing game. The excel in moving the game to the players that the defense does not game-plan for. That is why players like Woodhead, Edelman and Tate can explode in a game or two each year but largely be non-factors most other weeks. I think it’s reasonable to say that Tate has a realistic shot at an expanded role, but an expanded role in that offense is just a role playing role. I think Tate is the most “Moss-like” in that offense but even Moss had been very inconsistent recently and used primarily as a decoy. Tate should most certainly be rostered, but with very low expectations until he can prove a level of production on a consistent bases. Thanks for the question.

I have a 49ers Lloyd Jersey in my closet… and I hate San Fran. Thats how much I was in love with him. Honestly though, while coming on like in your 8th season like this isn’t very common, its not like he came out of nowhere. He certainly made enough highlight reel catches in his first couple seasons to warrant the praise.

It was the washington years that really sent his career into a rutt (remember when he was trying to be a rapper?). When you consider how successful he was with Orton in CHI it’s not a stretch to see him performing like this now. The only thing I can’t account for is last year in DEN. He wasn’t active very often and Royal wasn’t doing much so its a surprise that he wasn’t more involved in ’09

LaRod Stephens-Howling is also very intriguing to me. He has many similarities to Ahmad Bradshaw across the board. Both 7th round picks with similar statures and skill sets. Bradshaw was stuck behind Derrick Ward (Hightower-FA in 2011), and Jacobs (Wells). Bradshaw was given an increased load in his third season after Ward left and Jacobs dinged up. Next season will be LaRod’s third year. I’m probably wrong, but it could be worth a flier.

He almost made the list but he’s been pretty steady at what he is for a year or two now. I don’t really see him breaking out of that but he is most definitely … intriguing
