So, if I’m having to choose three RBs to keep from among Marion Barber, Ricky Williams, Willis McGahee, Chester Taylor, Bernard Scott and Jerome Harrison, are you saying Harrison should not be one of them?

Yeah, I know … slim pickin’s, but those are just the ones I’m on the fence over.

After further consideration, I’ve determned that what you’ve written and what I’m asking are two very different matters … though input is still welcome.

  3. Depends on the format of your league, what picks you have in the rookie draft, etc. But in a vacuum not knowing the details, I’d go with Ricky, Marion and Jerome Harrison. There’s always a chance Harrison could get meaningful touches coming off that amazing finish in 2009. My article is more from from a new draft point of view, but some variables could still apply.

Love the Aromashodu one. I’ve been plugging him for awhile. Nice to see I’m not the only one who watched his late-season shredding.

I have to say that in the TB games I’ve watched, Carnell Williams looked surprisingly good. He also made it through 16 games. I’m tellin’ you, he’s got bionic knees now. :)

Louis Murphy was disgustingly bad last season. Yes, he made some key catches. Maybe they just stood out more due to the fact he had a 35% catch-rate on his 96 targets. That is horrible. I can’t get behind that pick and you can’t blame it all on Jamarcus, either.

Good reading. I’m glad to see the increase in content. Keep it coming!

I Love the Murphy pick. True his catch rate wasn’t very good, but he made plays and helped them win some games.
I think you can blame a lot on Russell and the other QB’a on that horrible team. The kid is a playmaker that I’ve been touting since I drafted him in the 4th rd of my rookie draft. I think he gets much better having Campbell tossing him the ball.

I also like Murphy. Last year the off line and Qb play was terrible giving Louis no help at all. He was wide open and never thrown the ball. With a half decent accurate Qb this year things will be different and with a full year of tape study and route running the sky is the limit. L murphy as well as M Wallace and J Knox should all be targeted in my opinion.

I’m not sold on the Doucet call either. With no Kurt Warner, I have to believe that there are about 750 fewer passing yards in that offense this year. Figure Fitzgerald to have similar numbers to last year, figure the RBs/TEs to grab another 600-800 yards receiving, and suddenly you have Breaston and Doucet battling over the last 900-1100 yards. Feels like 60/600/6 to me for Doucet, certainly not something worth reaching for.
